Absolutely loved it!

I loved how secluded it was, yet just a short walk to the local pub, or drive to the local towns. I loved how close we were to all the walks along the Wye, getting lost (without getting too lost) in the woods, there were always people about to bump into every so often, walking down the paths

Couldn't really fault anything here ... possibly adding some form of extractor might be an idea. Only cooked a little bacon and the smoke drifted through the whole apartment, even with windows open to try and reduce it .. but that wasn't really too much of a complaint as everywhere then smelled like food 😅

We had everything we could possibly need. We are a family of 10 , we booked all five cottages for our family Christmas together which we do every year. Each cottage was nicely decorated with Christmas decorations which made each cottage very seasonal. Every cottage was beautiful clean, lovely comfortable beds and bedding. Well stocked kitchen with everything needed. We also had the added wonderful surprise of deer passing by our Windows really beautiful. Also our little cockerpoo really had an enjoyable time. Thank you John and Tanya

There was only one thing we all found difficult and that was the entrance from the road , it could do with lighting up so that those of us arriving in the dark can see where we are going. I’m really surprised that The New Paddock Hotel does not have its sign in lights. !!!!!!!!! The entrance looked a bit shabby such a shame for such nice properties.

A lovely clean simple cottage in a beautiful location, would highly recommend and will return

Fantastic location with so much wildlife on the doorstep. Very quiet area with easy parking and close access to a lovely pub

Nothing at all to do with the cottage but we didn't realise that the boat across the river stopped at 5pm and we had a booking at the pub across the river at 6pm meaning that we had to to walk to a foot bridge a long way down stream and get a taxi back. (we were very late for our booking but fortunately the pub saved our table)

Lovely place to stay for a couple of days dog friendly and so quiet. Great location for the walks and the ferrieman pub

The property was exceptionally clean, every single room especially the kitchen. Everything you needed was there. Outside a little communal garden so pretty and our host was lovely let us in a bit earlier as we had driven quite a way and the property was ready. I know the area and prefer the west side .

This is our second visit to the paddock cottages.We love the affordability, location and calming effect of the cottages.

Clean, basic, not cluttered, pleasant and comforting. Fantastic self catering facilities, We were blessed with wonderful weather so spent most of our time enjoying the outside front lawn, perfect for alfresco dinning. We love the children can play freely whilst in view. They had endless adventures. We saw a deer and a badger and love the walk down to the Ferrier Pub and pull boat over the water. We had a relaxing break and enjoyed ever moment.

A fantastic, dog-friendly cottage with excellent facilities and a perfect position for exploring the Wye Valley

Great location for exploring the Wye Valley, with a beautiful garden, good parking and everything you could possibly need in the cottage to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. A few minutes walk to the river and a great pub. A gem of a find!

Stunning location for a reasonable price.

Great location in close proximity to nice walks, pubs, and the river. The host was available when we arrived and met us as we checked out. The property was phenomenal for the price. Something similar would easily be twice the price in Cornwall or the Lakes and Symonds Yat is just a beautiful.

The access route to the cottage can get a little congested if the other guest are being inconsiderate, but it's no big deal. Not really much more to complain about.

Lovely family booking

We stayed at the Paddocks Cottages as a family group, booking 4 of them in total. Each cottage was lovely, they were all thoroughly clean, homely and had everything we could possibly want was available in the kitchens. Overall a lovely short stay was had in Symonds Yat, with a nice bit of garden out the front of the cottages which saw frequent visitors from deer, rabbits and pheasants. Thoroughly recommend.

Location and view lovely Cottage was clean comfortable roomy.Bedrooms were well appointed and beds very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with every utensil you might need and with dishwasher fridge etc of high quality

Situated in a lovely peaceful spot, very clean, well maintained accommodation. Felt like home from home. Comfortable clean beds. Within a short walk to the pub. Not too far to drive to Monmouth and Ross on Wye. Ideal for nice walks.

The location and view. A lovely chalet style property which was very well equipped.

The Bathroom did not have disability access to the shower & ventilation was poor as no heating worked. Cooker was very old with dials fading.

Great Location, beautifully furnished property, friendly owners.

The property was spacious, with lots of home comforts & lovely touches - soap in the bathroom, cleaning products and a dishwasher. The loacation was perfect was visiting lots of sites in the area. There was lots of wildlife in the area, including badgers, deer & rabbits. Near to local canoeing too.

There was no washing machine or dryer, which if we stayed longer than 2 nights could be an issue. otherwise, no cpmplaints really.

A lovely place to stay.

The accommodation is spacious, clean, well equipped and has an amazing view of the Wye valley. There are several nice walks in the area, and watersports can be booked on the river nearby. There are two pubs in easy walking distance. We ate at Ye Old Ferrie Inn where the food was lovely. We also saw several deer at the door of our apartment.

Noisy chickens from a neighbouring property at 6am.

Our stay was super relaxed in a fabulous location. I shall definitely return.

The property was just home from home. I loved the fact you could open the doors and there was the lovely garden for you to sit out in and relax. The garden is shared but this wasn’t a problem at all; still felt very private. Perfect location so much so we didn’t drive off anywhere. The bed was super comfy and it was so peaceful and quiet. We had visitors of deers and a badger on the evening!

I didn’t like the strong smell of air freshener , it was so overwhelming!! It was also dark but weather wasn’t good and obviously loads of trees so would have been better if lighter inside beautiful gardens, but depressing room
