We had a fabulous family weekend at the property and would definitely consider staying again.

The property was superb. Perfect location and the facilities were exceptional. The farmhouse is close to some beautiful walks, including a walk into Monmouth via a public footpath. We even had deer in the garden outside the property which was a lovely sight to wake up to.

There was nothing to dislike about the property- although my son received a nasty horsefly bite so be mindful to bring insect repellent if staying in peak summer.

A very comfortable & relaxing stay!

Our second visit to the area, we stayed in their little barn down the lane a few years ago and wanted to come back & stay in this house with the family. It’s aSpacious & comfortable house in a beautiful spot with a lovely view. The kitchen is a good size with everything you need for a family get together (it was soo hot that we ate outside all weekend & used the bbq). We loved how peaceful it was staying here 😊

Lovely stay in the Welsh borders countryside

Beautiful house in a stunning location, with plenty of walks and other recreational activities on the doorstep. We appreciated that there were dishwasher tablets, laundry liquid and other basics provided which saved us having to buy everything. It was also lovely having the aga working, which warms the kitchen beautifully and really makes the heart of the house.

The water stopped working at one point, which was entirely beyond the host's control. We phoned Christine and she immediately came to sort it out- it was fixed the same day.

Amazing and we want to return later in the year

The cottage was wonderful. It had everything we needed for our New Year celebration. We took our dogs and the location was perfect with wonderful walks and views. It was very clean, cosy and well equipped.

Excellent accommodation in a lovely quiet, secluded location.

Lots of space, very clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen, large living room and two dining areas. Great situation for walking straight from the front door. Hundreds of books, DVD’s and games available if you want to stay indoors in front of the wood-burning fires. The host Christine was very helpful and even offered us a lift to a restaurant one evening when we had to return to the farmhouse after finding the nearest pub closed.

The farmhouse is very isolated, at the end of a long and winding single-track lane.

The position is idilic and the house is amazing We saw fallow deer from our bedroom in the morning and The access track is good , any normal car will be fine

Great location

The space and location were ideal for our stay. Secluded and quiet with great views across the Valley. Kitchen has a great range if utensils and beds are comfy.

Directions to the property could be clearer. It is in a rural location and once you turn into the property drive there and no signs. There was also an issue with parking not being clearly marked, and as we arrived late in the dark we were unaware that we had blocked access for other guests in a different property. We received some curt communication from the host because of this, which added unnecessary stress to our visit. Cleanliness was good , though there were cobwebs in a couple of the bedrooms.
