Lovely warm and cosy - beds really comfortable lounge Super cosy and the conservatory at back with huge hot tub was lovely
Nice outdoor area too - close to a Suoer pub serving good food and one of the prettiest village stores really close too
Nothing we didn’t like about the cottage but I would say I think it does need a few more bits a pieces in the kitchen cupboards - only 3 wine glasses and a measuring jug and perhaps a mixing bowl and some proper cereal bowls (soup bowls only ) would help -
Also some additional lighting at far end of hot tub would help as that corner was very dark and I nearly tripped over the steps into the hot tub as you couldn’t see them properly so that would be really helpful but all in all we would definitely recommend and go back for another stay !

A quiet location, pub with great food almost next door and a local shop across the road that seemed to stock everything you'd need or want on holiday!
Beautiful area and some good places to eat out locally.
The chlorine in the spa was very overpowering, made my eyes stream and itch but test strips said is was all good so must have just have been me 🤣

A beautiful and unique cottage, with plenty of space for all of us and a good sized and equipped kitchen.
The summer house and view were stunning and enjoyed by all.

The cottage was lovely. The owners were really helpful, even coming out at 10.30 at night with spare keys to lock one of the doors. The garden area was peaceful. We had all the facilities we needed, with plenty space for all of us. The owners of the local shop were friendly and helpful, with great suggestions for places to visit. We had a really wonderful holiday. Thanks.

Clean cottage, convenient location
The cottage needs a lick of paint, it is very tired in some areas.
It does state the garden is shared but unfortunately we had noisy neighbours, it isn't very private.

Very spacious & clean, loved the hot tubs in two of the cottages and big gardens.
A little dated.

Quirky, comfortable, next door to a great pub and over the road from a local shop. The large jacuzzi was a real bonus.

The property was well looked after, very clean and provided everything we needed for a weekend away. It was particularly well positioned on a quiet lane, having a fantastic pub within walking distance and a wonderful, very well stocked village shop.
We couldn't find how to plug in our amazon stick to the TV - this is a very minor issue, as the weather was far too good to watch the TV :).

Lovely cottages. We stayed in the 3 bed and 2 bed, which are joined by the garden and so we all had access to a hot tub. Lovely big hot tub which was very warm with good jets.
We had everything we needed and the beds are very comfortable.
Some of the ceilings and door frames are low and the men kept hitting their heads! The hot tub room has a very pretty but slippery tiled floor and we felt there should be more mats available to prevent accidents.

Lovely cottage in a great location, felt like a home away from home, with lots of great facilities and the hot tub was an added bonus. The cottage is located close to a lovely village pub and the shop has any essentials you need

Fantastic huge hot tub in a lovely enclosed, under cover garden room. Comfy beds, pillows and furniture. Plenty of hot water and powerful shower.Lovely thick fluffy towels. Central heating is very efficient. Owners were extremely quick in responding to a couple of queries we had.
Lovely pub and we'll stocked village shop within a few yards of the cottage.
If self catering we would suggest bringing extra cutlery and sharp knives. Be aware that the shower leaked from beneath the bath of which the owners are aware. Also take care in the garden room as because it's an outside room, when it rains heavily the water does run down the outside wall onto the high gloss floor tiles.

Very traditional cottage style, comfortable, cozy and pretty.

Location, parking, great for the family, good value for money. Shop opposite, perfect.
2nd bathroom was a little tricky. Garden access was very difficult if not able bodied. Head height in kitchen challenging if over 5”10”!

not applicable re breakfast
cottage was clean
local shop very good
top of stairs difficult to negotiate for elderly -need secure handrails
location of light switches difficult to find?
several latches on doors not working properly
front door handle not secure
wifi code and password incorrect- frustrating
lack of useful instruction/information in book- ie tel numbers of local amenities
parking details needed before arrival
Far too many personal ornaments in cottage -gave overly cluttered feel
Ground floor shower room smelt very damp
Need a tray in the kitchen to carry things into living room
Need more coasters
The above is meant to be helpful

Excellent location for our stay, and facilities were also very good. Great local pub (Penny Farthing) with excellent food.
No complaints.

Lovely house, although not as advertised. Thought we had a hot tub and a pool table, but three houses are advertised under one set of photos. Luckily one of the houses was empty and we were able to use that hot tub with the agreement of the letting company. Close to Ross on wye (10 min drive) great parking at the Ross Rowing club.
Felt like the property was miss advertised with the photos and glad I checked before we left. Garden set up is a bit wierd with having to go through the neighbours garden to get to the top with the dogs. Kitchen ceiling is very low and anyone over 5'11" ig going to be stooping.

Lovely village with friendly residents. Accommodation had alot of equipment and facilities. Comfortable beds and sofa's. Excellent selection of games, books and toys for the child that came with us. Lovely garden and patio area.
The DVD player wasn't working.

Lovely big kitchen diner area excellent for socialising
Hot tub lovely extra
Location nice quiet, but the local pub closed for refurbishment looks like it has been closed for some time, there was no work in progress was one of the reasons for booking

The cottage had all facilities needed for our stay .having towels provided was a useful extra . The room with the hot tub gave an extra space that was helpful during the day and would be a good space for stays later in the season.rooms were comfortable and the kitchen, though small, had everything needed. Position was ideal to navigate around the Forest of Dean. Local shop was great and very friendly the Berry Hut was a novelty for fresh fruit and eggs.
Not the cottage but the advertised local pub has been closed for a while.
Having never used one before I feel it should be clear that we were responsible for maintaining the hot tub and emptying the dehumidifier whether or not we were using it.

Lovely cottage. All the comfort if home. The dog friendly element was most important for us. We had a good family time. Lovely walks and nearby towns. Next time might apply for the one with a hot tub but it wasn't majorly important. Thank you
Nothing to not like

Lovely comfortable cottage. Lots of room for everyone and lovely and clean
The stairs may be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. I was concerned by 84 year old father would fall but he managed OK

Great hot tub. Really good location for getting to forest of Dean.

lovely cottage. Everything we needed. Only thing I would suggest is a runner in the bedroom as it leads to the top area of the garden and although our dog had very small paws it would be easier to keep clean. Not an issue as we used the one from the lounge. We had an amazing time and would definitely book again.

The super cute adorable cottage was very well appointed and clean. Well located for Cannop cycle trails. Great little local shop at the bottom of the road.
We stayed in the middle cottage (Owl) and had the benefit of a lovely garden room where we sat with some prosecco one evening.
Thanks to Phil for arranging a new WiFi router! Had a fab stay!

Great for a group of female friends, x4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet. Lovely and warm, hot tub huge and everything you could need
Only niggle was that stair gate was awkward, especially when carrying luggage etc up and down stairs- would have been great to have facility to keep it open ( though understand the owner would not want any possibility of dogs upstairs )

Lovely house which had been nicely decorated for the Christmas period. Has everything you need for cooking meals plus the nearby village store is excellent. Easy to contact the owner if needed.
Some plumbing peculiarities with showers which were explained to us when we arrived.

Good location for exploring the country side. Great local shop but information needs updating as the pub and takeaway had closed down.
Thought we had booked the property with the pool table and hot tub.It was a nice character cottage though.

Super location with easy access to bus routes and a pleasant hand over from the owner. A comfortable fully equipped cottage.
We found and operated everything eventually, but printed instructions of appliance operation and the location of a vacuum cleaner, etc, would have been good. Not a problem, just a time saver.

We loved everything. We wanted a relaxing break away and this is exactly what we got. The lovely little village of Lea was the perfect setting, very calm and peaceful. The local shop had everything we needed for our stay, however there was a Morrison’s 10 minutes away. The cottage itself was beautiful, lots of character and clean and tidy.
We had a lovely time using the hot tub and playing pool. There was a bbq set up ready for us which we happily used one night.
Dog friendly and the garden was plenty big enough for our boy to run around and explore.

We had plenty of room for two couples, one single, a toddler and a dog. The space worked really well for us. The hosts were great; really friendly and welcoming. We had one small issue with the coffee maker, which upon letting them know they resolved literally within minutes, to our complete satisfaction. Very impressive reaction! The beds were really comfortable and the bedrooms good sizes. Although the shower pressure wasn't fantastic, it was certainly adequate, and better than expected after having read some of the reviews. They provided beautifully thick, large bath towels - the best we've ever had anywhere!
It was a bit of a hassle having to go upstairs and through a bedroom to get out into the garden, but once there it was a nice spot. It just made eating meals out there a bit difficult, so we used the little paved area outside the kitchen, but it was tiny. We managed though, and it wouldn't deter us from using the property again.

Quiet location
The advertised public house/restaurant was derelict ,access to the raised garden was difficult
