Greenacres Glamping

Lovely location and facilities were perfect. Beds were surprisingly comfortable

A warning that there are horses immediately behind. We arrived in the dark so don’t realise they were there. We were woken in the night to what sounded like something trying to get in the tent!

It was very nice and I liked design and presentation of the yurt. It had a seating area outside and there were fantastic views. It was nice and quiet and was a great place to stay. The beds were comfy and it was a nice size and quite spacious. It was a real gem of a find. I loved listening to the owls hooting whilst lying in bed and looking at the sky through the skylight window. It was magical.

The door kept getting stuck and was really loud trying to open and close. Could have done with a lick of paint. The toilets had codes so little kids couldn’t use freely. There were some utensils but needed more. The bin didn’t get changed and I accidentally dropped a glass in the kitchen area and there was not brush or bin to clean it up.

Fabulous little glamping site. We stayed in Heron, the Shepherds hut. It was lovely and clean, great storage, lovely little kitchenette attached. Everything you could need. The shower facilities are exceptional. Very clean, really hot showers and spotless. We will definitely be returning to stay in any of the glamping accommodation there.

Nothing not to like!

There are some good points about Greenacres, the views and quietness are very pleasant. Convenient location with a village shop and pub right by. Within the campsite the bathrooms are not too far a walk away. Ease of access & checking in.

For the money, it was not worth it for us, there are some major things missing for this to be seen as a “glamping” site: • As a group of four we were put in one tent with two small camping beds either side the main bed, which were very uncomfortable • Basic things like paper towel in the kitchenette, lack of cooking equipment, old worn and used sponges in the washing up station and no towels made this feel less like “glamping” • there were ants all in our tent which we had to sort ourselves as there never seems to be any staff on site • you have to pay for wood for the fire, something I’ve never experienced before for glamping and for considering the price we paid • the outside of the tent is not very well maintained and could do with a tidy up, there is also no lighting outside your tent so you cannot enjoy the evening outside, it could do with some string lights • generally the level of cleanliness in the small kitchen and bathrooms could be improved • WiFi is not effective
