I usually prefer staying in hotels for their amenities, but RYO KAN is truly a gem. The property is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional staff. This was actually my second stay in back-to-back weeks, and the main reason I chose to return was the outstanding service and friendliness of the staff. Everyone consistently went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I would especially like to give a big shout-out to the reception staff, particularly Nayelli, as well as the security personnel. They were all incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Mexico City, and I highly recommend RYO KAN to anyone looking for a memorable and welcoming experience.

The breakfast was nice but on our 3rd and last morning breakfast was not prepared and I had to ask for it. In addition to that, they didn’t have most of the items and only offered me fruit and beverage. The location was nice and it was in a cute neighborhood central to restaurants and conveniences. I liked the robes and yukatas and the shower was amazing!!! The rooms were well appointed and I appreciated ti Wi-Fi and access to tv. The staff was also very kind and were obviously trying their best but could use a little more training in service.

The rooms NEED better ventilation! They were stuffy and uncomfortable at night which made it very hard to fall asleep. There are no windows to fresh air and when we were there the weather wasnt extremely hot yet the rooms got very warm. We we’re visited by a different cockroach each night and my husband had to kill them. The room description said there would be Japanese snacks and yet there wasn’t any. Also, we were provided with only 1 pair of slippers even though there were 2 of us. Our airbnbs provided us with bottled water and this expensive hotel did not. I did not like how everything was controlled by an app. The first night the app was malfunctioning with the tv and that was frustrating.
