Location and the apartment is nice
No customer service, bad management, bad maintenance, felt unsafe with a gas leak.
6.0 / 10.0
Overall, a very pleasant stay. The apartment we upgraded to was very pleasant (but see below for our initial negative experience with the apartment we originally booked). The door staff were very nice and responsive. Quiet residential location, which is what we wanted. Busier areas with shops, restaurants and nightlife were about a 10-15 minute walk away or further, which suited us just fine.
The main issue was that the apartment we originally booked was supposed to have a queen bed (the same we have at home) but on arrival it turned out to be much smaller. It was 4 feet wide by 5 feet long (see photos) - not long enough for an average height person, and certainly not wide enough for two people to sleep comfortably! When we reported this to management, they said that that was their definition of a queen bed...hmmm... and that we would have to pay to upgrade to a larger bed size. And the apartment was advertised as having a sofa bed - it did not, it just had a couch. We upgraded to a room with a king bed for about USD 20 per night - it wasn't worth ruining our vacation to sleep in such cramped quarters. The king bed was a real king bed in the new apartment, and it did come with a sofa bed. So, be aware that if the advertised price for a queen bed apartment seems to be too good to be true, it is - you'd have to be a very short (and single) person to sleep comfortably there.
Housekeeping was only once every 7 days, and they did not come on the 7th day as scheduled. We had to remind them on the 8th day to send the housekeeping staff. We only had one housekeeping call / towel and sheet replacement over a 14-day stay!
We had to inform them twice to send us toilet paper over the course of our 2-week stay, and the second time they never delivered it. We also ended up purchasing our own trash bags as it's a hassle to keep asking for supplies repeatedly. These may seem like minor issues, but they add up when you have to keep making repeated requests for essential services and supplies.
Back burners did not work on the kitchen stove, and some of the kitchen utensils were badly scratched / had loose handles. Kitchen knives were dull and hard to prep food with.
Laundry machines and dryers are very slow - be prepared to spend 2+ hours doing laundry!

The apartment is big, the furniture is modern in very good condition, the king bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped.
On the fifth floor the drier and washing machines are free and there is a lovely terrace with a nice view of the city.
Capitalia has two guards that work 24-hour shifts, they are very helpful and always ready to hep, The cleaning personnel is very helpful and nice, they come once a week and leave our apartment spotless.
Anzures is very safe area and a short walking distance to Polanco.
If you have dog there is a doggy park 300 m from Capitalia. The friendly locals take there very well behaved dogs to this park.
We were on the first floor looking at the main Guttemberg street and it is quite noisy. I would advice an apartment on Milchelet street and on the third or fourth floor.

I was there for two nights, the second time. The apartment is spacious, bright, comfortable. Very well equipped for even a longer stay. I especially like the bedroom, where there is a very comfortable bed and a huge wardrobe. The materials and colors used in the whole apartment are also nice. I appreciated the possibility to wash clothes in the laundry room and the beautiful view from the terrace.
The electric kettle didn't work.
I could also hear people from the other rooms if they are loud or if they walk etc., but it was nothing terrible, because they were quiet at night (fortunately).
I was also missing a broom or anything to wipe the floor.

I liked the deck on the top of the bldg., and the fact that potable water was available there. I appreciated the free laundry machines. The couch on the top floor was quiite nice. It had arms to lean against. Couches like that should be put in the living spaces.
The staff tried their best to accomodate us. I also appreciated the quick replies to my communications, altho I would have liked to have been able to speak with someone directly. But that is not the way things seem to be going.
The apt definitely needed repair work. The toilet didn't flush without holding the handle down for a bit, the shower drain in the floor of the shower was not properly attached. The shower continuously leaked water no matter how hard I tried to prevent it drippiing by turning the faucets off. The oven for the stove required manual lighting with a match in order to turn on, which I haven't had to do since I was a child 60 yrs ago. The door to the kitchen interferred with opening the refrigerator. There was a piece of tile missing from the bathroom floor. There was really no comfortable place to sit. The couch did not have arms and so there was no place to lean against other than sitting straight up.
Also, instead of telling me that no rooms with the afternoon sun were available, they misinformed me and I was extremely disappointed that the apt really got no direct sunlight.

Location was great
There could be a small ventilator in the apartment, as it's very hot

Spotlessly clean. very comfortable. My partner is a digital nomad, and this was a great place for him to get some work done. I, on the other hand, just wanted to relax and have a good time in Mexico, and the apartment worked out great for that too. Roof deck was a real treat! Having a laundry was terrific.
You might want to bring paper coffee filters (basket-style) and some ground coffee if you’re arriving in the evening, as there wasn’t anyplace nearby to get them. There is a small Nespresso machine with some pods provided.

Very nice apartment, nice gym and rooftop, good location.
Couch is old, uncomfortable and had dirty stains. Sometimes it wasn’t great waiting for security to let you in and out each time.

- clean
- all utilities that we needed
- very friendly staff
- very comfortable to stay
- quick communication
- also common area seems nice, we didn't use it as much as we could have
- bed a bit too soft for my liking, my girlfriend liked it though
- early communications were a bit tricky, and automated messages could also be a bit less

Very spacious apartament with modern design. Hotel is located in great area Polanco, which is safe and also very beautiful. The facility offers not only gym, but working space and free laundry service which is great. I had a very nice stay.
I missed cleaning service for the room at least every 3 days. Also the floor is old and kinda dirty. Anything else was very nice.

The location is great - walking distance to Polanco district. The building is modern with nice finishes and well furnished, nothing is missing. There are tools I used such as a hairdryer and an iron, as well as cosmetics for personal hygiene - shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, as well as lotion. I didn’t use any of the facilities such as gym and terraces but they looked great too.
In my opinion cleaning fee was a bit high.

The neighborhood is pretty quiet and rather empty at any time of the day, which is a relief after visiting the historic center. Sometimes there was heavy traffic on Gutenberg, but our apartment faced Calle Michelet, so there was not much noise from the outside. We heard music from another apartment during the day, but at night it was quiet.
The kitchen had all the necessary cookware and tableware.
The living room and the bedroom are cozy. The interior is modern and tastefully restrained.
There's a big HDTV with a number of streaming services, and you can play your Spotify from it.
There was a tower fan, which we used a few times, and a heater, which we did not need at that time of the year.
Using a door code to enter the apartment is a good idea, because you don't have to worry about the keys.
A great rooftop with views.
It would be better to have a flexible shower head instead of or in addition to a fixed one.
The door lacks a frame — there's no head jamb or sill, so at one point the hinge jamb came off the wall, to which it had been attached with rather small screws. It was fixed the following morning, but it won't be long till it falls off again.
The tabletop ironing board's legs would not stay in position, so we had to put a rolled throw blanket between the board and its legs.
The electric kettle would not turn off by itself. The salt shaker was almost empty.

Great spot. In a bit of a fun location with lots of traffic around but the room was quiet clean and great value

Without the exaggeration, this was the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. For five weeks this place become my home and I don't really have a single thing to complain about. I really appreciated the laundry room and the terrace. Special thanks to the cleaners and porters who take care of the entire apartment complex.
Hope to stay here again sometime.
Parties were held on the terrace twice a month. Although both ended at midnight, the noise could be heard throughout the apartment complex, which was not pleasant.

Spacious apartment with all amenities I needed. Kitchen was nicely equipped. Rooftop lounge and terrace looked awesome, I'd spend more time there next time when not travelling alone.
It would help to have written instructions for the washer-dryer.

Wow! Capitalia apartments really exceeded all our expectations, this is honestly one of the best places I have ever stayed (and I’ve travelled a lot!) It is a beautifully presented apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We work remotely and it was like home away from home and even extended our time here we loved it so much! The communal balcony area with gym and bbq area is stunning and a brilliant addition to our stay. To top it all off, communication throughout was outstanding- exceptional hospitality, cleanliness and extremely friendly and contentious security staff. I highly recommend!

Electronic door lock. Over eight days gad 3 different codes? It ended up causing us to be locked out of our room 2x, from 11am. Till 4pm! Took help from staff and office to understand the problem.

The apartment was in a nice area, not too busy, close enough to wherever we needed to go. The building had 24 security which were always helpful. The apartment and the building had all facilities we needed (the washing machine was a saviour!).
I’m glad we stayed there instead of a hotel.
Overall a very pleasant stay. There were a couple of things like the unit was on the fourth floor and the hot water pressure in the shower was EXTREMELY low (reminded me of Seinfeld’s Shower Head episode). There was also an unpleasant sewage smell coming from the bathroom drain.

Very nice apartment. Spacious living area and well equipped kitchen. Very large and very comfortable bed. They guys on reception were very nice and helpful. Also plenty of parking spaces.
Walls were a bit thin and you could hear some noise from the street but it wasn't so bad as to disturb you or prevent you sleeping.

Quite new accommodation. Fully equipped room and amazing facilities. The security guard at the front door was adorable. Water and apples available at the lobby. We really enjoyed the welcome snack!
Our room was facing the street so it got a bit noisy sometimes… but nothing unbearable.

Could have been a great stay, apartment overall is very nice, good location
Mentioned a large double bed, but it was very small. Narrow width for 2 people and small length (if you are above 1.80 m your feet will stick out). Poor sound and light isolation. Had 2 bad nights of sleep
