Penthouse City Center With 2 Terraces And Views

We were met at the apartment upon arrival and completed the required paperwork for local taxes, etc. This was a very smooth process. The apartment itself was spacious, clean and very close to the various attractions that we wished to visit. The gothic quarter is just a 10 minute walk, and the Placa de la Catalunya 2 minutes. There were local bakeries and good quality restaurants all within walking distance. There was also easy access to the hop on/hop off tourist bus, and this afforded a really convenient way to access the slightly further away attractions. Our hosts checked in by text from time to time to ensure all was well, which added to the general feeling of being welcome. And La Segrada was all that we had anticipated. Gaudi's legacy was all around, and, if you have the opportunity to take in all of his architectural creations, you will not be disappointed.

Las Ramblas was a place that we had looked forward to exploring, but, unfortunately, the authorities had embarked on a long process of upgrading the sewarage system, which meant that the street cafes were few and far between. And the odour on the wind! Once completed, this will obviously improve!

A representative met us on site to let us in, hand over the keys and show us the apartment and amenities. The apartment was spacious and bright with a large dining/sitting area including sofas, dining table for 8, toaster, microwave, hob and coffee machine. Beds were comfortable and the view of the city was great. It's in an ideal location at the top of La Rambla and near to a very good luggage storage facility which we used before checking in and after checking out.

The representative we met at arrival wasn't particularly friendly but did get the job done. The apartment was not cleaned to the standard we would have liked with debris still present on the floor and under beds/around furniture. The kitchen was cramped and under a slope making it difficult to use the sink but other amenities were good. Towels were provided but some spares would have been nice.

The property is in such a central location. The 2 terraces are fantastic with lovely views over the city. Each room is spacious and the kitchen is well stocked.

Nothing to add! It’s great. Not a bad thing but just one note - there are only 6 forks but the apartment sleeps more, so just needs a couple more forks adding.

Location is amazing. Right next to La Rambla. Lost of shops and grocery stores and taxi station right around the corner. Lived the views. AC is every room. Easy check in.

Bathroom downstairs is very tiny and a little dated. A little noisy since there is a lot of traffic on that street.
