The flat is nicely laid-out, with two bedrooms, small bathroom, nicely furnished living room and small kitchen area. The flat could use a little more decoration - nothing on the walls except for a rather large and garish "Barcelona" logo which lights up when turned on!
Check-in requires stopping at the rental office of "Friendly Rentals", about a 10 minute walk from the property. Since this name is not identified in any of the pre-trip documents, it can be hard to know you're in the right place, since it is in a large office building. Once there, it resembles a rental car check-in counter, with sometimes quite a few people in front of you, some taking a LONG time to check in. All of my previous VRBO rentals have involved a representative meeting us at the property, which is much preferable to this arrangement.
In the flat there were NO instructions on anything - no manuals or descriptions of how to use the various appliances including the TV . There was no "house manual" describing not only the amenities in the flat but also nearby food markets, restaurants, etc. Zero information on how to use the many recycling trash bins and when and where to take out the trash. Again, never had a rental before that failed to include this information.
Cable TV is VERY basic - no cable news channels and no premium channels of any kind. On the other hand, wi-fi was outstanding!
The flat is on the fifth floor. There is a lift, but first you have to walk up 26 steps in a narrow stairwell to get to the lift!
But overall, its a nice place. The location just off La Rambla but on a quite pedestrian street, is ideal, the beds are comfortable and the furniture is good.
