Welcome to this 225 m2 spacious and bright flat in a historical building located next to the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya. Enjoy huge amounts of space in this modern, bright and cozy flat. Explore the city and come back to the apartment resting on a quiet and comfortable home away from home.
⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Walls are very thin and other residents of the building very sensitive to noises. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.

- Bedroom 2: 2 Individual beds

- Bedroom 5: 2 Individual beds + bunk bed
- Living room: sofa bed

The Neighborhood:
The apartment is Located in front of Plaça Catalunya, this square is generally considered to be both the city centre and the place where the old city and the 19th century-built Eixample meet.
Some of the city's most important streets and avenues meet at Plaça Catalunya: Passeig de Gràcia, Rambla Catalunya, La Rambla, and Portal de l’Àngel. The plaza occupies an area of about 50,000 square metres. It is especially known for its fountains and statues, its proximity to some of Barcelona's most popular attractions, and the flocks of pigeonsthat gather in the centre. The square played a significant part in the Spanish Civil War also.
Getting Around:
The closest metro station is Plaça Catalunya (Lines 1 & 3).
The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the bus "Aerobus" at Plaça Catalunya, in front of "El Corte Inlges". The cost is around 4.5€
Other Things to Note:
*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***
- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small fee of 6.25€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.
- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.
- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation
and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs
Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)
*** HOUSE RULES ***
1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction
2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.
3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).
4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.
5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.
6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.
7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.
Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

From before we arrived until after we checked out everything was perfect. The host was very quick to respond when we had questions and the check-in process was so simple. The apartment is huge- we had 9 women (ages 40-50ish) traveling together and there was a single bed for each person, ample space to spread out, and the kitchen was well appointed. It was very hot in Barcelona this week and we greatly appreciated how well the AC units all worked.
Some might not like the nighttime noise - but you are in the heart of a major and vibrant city! Bring your ear plugs and enjoy all this beautiful apartment and Barcelona has to offer.

Pros: Location couldn't have been better. Easy to walk everywhere or easily take the metro. 3 bathrooms was a must. Beds were comfortable.
Cons: Property wasn't ready for us when we checked in (at 5 pm) as it was still being cleaned. After a long day of travel, this wasn't ideal.
Also, we couldn't get the washer to work and it actually made our clothes smell worse. Wasn't much help from the property on this. As international travelers, this was a HUGE issue for us as we had planned for a washer. Maybe us Americans just couldn't figure it out, but it was a huge bummer.
