The hostel is good but not the service

The location and the pool.

The staff didn’t speak English really good so we have an appointment at 7 o’clock and they coming at 7:30 and we can’t arrive to the boat. And the pressure of the water was horrible.

I like it very much and will come again when I have time.

1. The cp value is high, and the hotel comes with a simple and delicious breakfast. 2. The dinner is delicious and not expensive~ (additional fee is required) 3. The service staff is friendly and offers swimming towels. 4. The swimming pool is clean. 5. There is a hair dryer attached. 6. If you like tranquility, this place is highly recommended. The weather is good at night and there are many stars. 7. There is a cheap grocery store nearby, where you can buy snacks, instant noodles or daily necessities.

The environment is a bit humid, but not a big problem.

Superb

We stayed here for 3 nights and the location is great. It's in the centre of the island, which was perfect for us to explore the island. The tiny houses and the pool are surrounded by nature, which makes it very quiet and peaceful. The room was big enough and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made our beds every morning, which was not necessary, but very kind. They provide a great breakfast (when we had to leave early in the morning, we received take away!). You can also take diner here. Definitely would recommend this stay for this price!

It is in middle of island. So if idea is to cover all beaches with similar distance then it is good location. Staff helpful. Keep limited expectations in room size and facilities in that. But with economical price it is good fit. Vegetable soup was amazing.

Rooms are small but since price is lower it is fine. No generator if electricity gone. Expect 45 min without electricity in a day . Manageable though

The view from the rooms is amazing. It is very well located in the center of the island. The staff was really friendly and the food was good.

The overall room experience was very bad. The door didn’t lock properly, there were no proper plug points (although the staff helped), the cupboard was there but the lock was broken. The bathroom has no lock, just a glass door and a curtain. When I highlighted the issues to the owner and he told me to cancel the booking and find a new stay, if I had problems which I felt was a bit rude.

Great value for money away from it all in rural location in middle of penida

Stunning location in the middle of nusa penida. Beautiful. Lovely bungalows and swimming pool. Helpful staff and Great value for money. You NEED to ride a scooter to stay here as it's about 20-25 mins from the main tourist area with restaurants, cash machines etc. We stayed here because we wanted to be away from it all and drive around

Gorgeous views and great staff

Loved this property! the room was lovely and it was great to have our own water. Breakfast was a good start to the day without having to travel. The owner was fantastic and really went out of his way to help us back to the port. Enjoyed having the swimming pool and the gorgeous views.

Some people may not like to location. We didn’t mind, we had to get a bike anyway as where you want to go is spread out. But for us the location was perfect, lovely and quiet.

Really good but a bit far away

Good rooms, with aircon, nicely decorated. Quiet and beautiful surroundings. Spacious with a nice porch. Pool is amazing, staff really friendly and helpful. We had to leave really early 3 days in a row and they made us breakfast to go every evening and put it in the fridge for us to take the next day. Breakfast options pretty standard (eggs on toast or pancake). Food (restaurant) is basic but good and fairly priced. Big watertank in our room was also very nice. The price is great!

The only real problem is that the location is far from everything. You really need a scooter to get anywhere and even then the drive to town or the beach is at least 30 minutes. Lots of mosquito's and no mosquito net.

Amazing place with views to relax and excellent staff!

Everything was great about this place! The views and the swimming pool are excellent, but what is amazing is the staff and how they interact with guests. They care about the wellbeing of the guests, if they need anything or if they can support you with information about places or ways to go. Breakfast was very good and the cleaning was also very well done. If you want to go to attractions and also the port area, I would recommend to rent a scooter when you arrive from Sanur. Roads can be a bit windy and steep, but just take your time and you will enjoy amazing views. Thank you to all the staff, we will definitely come back!

Place is clean, and the pool area has a great view. The bed is very comfortable. They clean the room everyday. Location is good if you want to visit both the east and west tour.

Welcoming, relaxing, quiet, clean, fresh air, super views

Location at the highest point on the island is great for the air quality and views. I had a scooter so the remoteness from the town was not a big problem for me, it does take about 20-30 mins by scooter/car to reach from the coast so this should be taken into account, Room is well appointed and stylish with separate bathroom and good shower. Staff very friendly and helpful had breakfast and a couple of evening meals here, all good. Quite central as a base for exploring the island

Might not be suitable for small children due to some unguarded sections of the elevated patio and walkway between dining area room and steps to the pool, there is quite a drop in places. Need to have own transport or pay for a ride (20-30 mins) if needing to go to the town/coast and most other places of interest.

Quiet stay

I stayed here for 2 nights. The place is beautiful, specially if you are looking for a quiet time and connection with nature. It is located in the middle of the island, so if you want to go to any beach it is at least 30 min ride. Unfortunately I don't ride a bike so it was not very convenient for me. The good thing is that they have their own little restaurant. The weather was terrible while I was there. The staff brought me food to my room so I didn't get wet. I felt like home Staff and owner were super friendly and helpful during and before my stay

Beautiful bungalow with perfect location if you like a quiet island experience

Perfect location if you want to be away from it all and if you want to explore the island on your own as it's really centrally located. The swimming pool is beautiful and the rooms are big enough. It is clean and the food in the restaurant is also really good.

Unfortunately they didn't have the chocolate cake, but that's nothing to complain about

Exceptional value for money

We loved the peace and quiet of Dungkap, and its central location for exploring all of Nusa Penida. Our bungalow was cosy and clean. The daily housekeeping and refreshments in the room was a lovely touch. Restu, Putu and their staff are welcoming and friendly hosts who happily organised everything we needed during our stay - scooter hire, transfers, ferry tickets. The accommodation runs its own warung (restaurant) on site with a delicious and very affordable menu, and there is an excellent daily breakfast included in the room rate. The pineapple chutney is divine! Unbeatable value for money and we would happily stay again. Thank you for your amazing hospitality!
