One of the best in Nusa penida

The view, location, facilities provided was value for money . The place has its own charm. Very close to crystal bay. All the needful was provided. Excellent for people on honeymoon.

The staff at reception was not available all the time...still it's ok if you look at the service and comfort.

Convenient and beautiful bungalow near Crystal Bay

Very beautiful place, with the borderless pool, little gym and very cute bungalows. The staff are so friendly and helpful which we also joined the packaged tour, they all turned out very good. There are also shuttle car to Crystal bay which takes within 5 minutes. There are some good restaurants nearby, very convenient for the meals when you just wanna relax here the whole day.

If you’re sound sensitive sleeper, it’d be better to bring earplugs as there are some natural alarms to wake you up in the morning. Yet it’s village life, not too big issues for us.

The location is the southwest of the island, not far from the port, crystal bay and Kelingking beach and T-Rex. In a quiet area, away from the parties and noise of the northern part. Picturesque green well-kept territory with excellent sunsets, clean houses, excellent linen and towels. Everything is dry and does not smell. Good breakfasts and very-very nice staff! The guys helped with excursions (they have their own touristic agency), laundry, tickets for a speedboat there and back and a taxi ... So getting to the island and back was comfortable and convenient. Special thanks to our driver Dio - he accompanied us around the island, showed the best places for photos and for stops for food. and drove the car very comfortably, considering their wild serpentines. In 5 minutes from the hotel there is a chic restaurant, even by Moscow standards - the best Caesar salad in my life and only for $4... The coffee here, like in most places in Bali, is also excellent.

Since this is a bungalow, of course there will be good audibility - every grasshopper and every scooter that goes by... But this did not bother us. For some reason the hot water ran out very quickly. Literally 10 minutes and it is already cold... It is hard to wash your hair like that.

Paradise

This property is a little slice of heaven. I deliberated endlessly before booking but do not hesitate. Yes you can hear your neighbour’s conversations but that is the case with the majority of places here. It does not detract from the enjoyment of the experience. Although there is no on site restaurant they do a great breakfast and there’s an excellent (& incredibly cheap) restaurant just 20 metres down the road. I cannot wait to return!

Peaceful location and very attentive staff. Staff were extremely helpful sorting anything we needed including tours and taxis. Lovely restaurants nearby. Breakfast was exceptional. Beautiful facilities and large water dispenser in the room too.

A great place to rest and unw

This place is really cool and so tranquil. After a day trip in Nusa Penida, checking in to this hotel was just perfect. The pool is clean and you can swim with a beautiful view of the forest around you. The staff were very polite and helpful — Adi was especially nice, he explained everything to us and even arranged our transfer to the harbour. We were so pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to relax and unwind.

The pool view is spectacular! The staff are super kind and can cater to all your needs. Adi and Jeffery were so lovely! The private bungalows are very comfortable with good restaurants within walking distance.

Awful

Awful place. Bed linen was dirty. No electricity in bathroom, I can’t turn on light in the night. Morning shower was in the total dark because stuff can’t help. A lot of sounds outside because bungalow close to the road. Poor Wi-fi, it doesn’t work almost all time. Poor mobile connection at that place. Final not was ants in scramble egg for breakfast. 5 years ago there were a lot of palm trees, it was best tropical road between palms. Better if palms trees stay here instead of that bungalows.

Lovely family run bungalows but need some work

The family who run Meket Bungalows are absolutely lovely. They will do anything for you. We really appreciated the scooter rental, and the private tour Adi booked for us to go and swim with the Manta Rays. He even showed us how to get to the boat by letting us follow him on the scooter. Very friendly and hospitable.

Our main concern with the property was our bathroom. It has a pebbled area around the shower which is just dirt under the pebbles. This allows all sorts of insects to enter. We had multiple large cockroaches daily, grubs as well as a scorpion which really freaked me out. We had to keep the bathroom door shut. Also there was no hot water at any time we were there. We didn’t use the pool either as the pool beds were covered in mould. Not many people realise how much of a health issue mould actually is, but it wreaks havoc. The location is okay, but you will need to rent a scooter as there is no gojeks on the island, and the bungalows are quite far from everything.

Very noisy and not the cleanest

The pool area is really nice, but the rooms themselves have a lot to improve. Location is ok, very near the beach but a bit far from the town with restaurants. Very nice sunsets from the pool.

The room was not too clean, towels and sheets had visible stains. The bathroom was terrible, not clean, there was a used razor head in the sink when we arrived, the shower barely had any hot water. The worst was the absolute lack of noise insulation, you could hear every motorbike and car and whisper nearby, it was like the road was inside the room, made it extremely difficult to sleep even with earplugs.

Amazing people, clean and nice bungalow with the best view of the pool and jungle. We appreciated as well the breakfast and the transport to the beach and back. The restaurant 2 min walking is also a hidden gem. Perfect stay, I hope we can return soon!

Feeling like we finally "got away" from it all.

The bungalows have everything you need - refrigerator, water kettle, DRINKING WATER, coffee/tea, extra towels, comfortable bed and ... power bank for all your devices. The bungalows are cute and spacious with a small deck with chairs & table out your door that overlooks the (very nice) pool and the jungle. You can see the mainland in the distance. Super helpful staff. The head honcho arranged our fast boat and transportation. Good breakfast and another restaurant 50m up the road.

Everything was great - one gets used to the occasional road noise very quickly and there isn't much traffic in the evening.

Great stay on Nusa Penida

The host was very helpful with everything. Free ride to Crystal Beach included. Information provided was really good, also on pricing for trips or fast boat tickets. Honest host who even says to book things online because it's cheaper. He totally thinks about his guests and there well-being. A great stay. The Bungalow was clean and also the pool was amazing with a great view. Close to the bungalows there is a really small restaurant with delicious food. Went there all the time during our three nights stay.

This place is gorgeous. It’s very quiet, with the pool facing the sea and in the sun as well as the bungalows. everything is clean and fully equipped. you even have a kettle with tea and coffee and adaptors for the plugs! you can see there is a lot of attention into receiving the guests. Adi is the nicest person, very welcoming and always helpful, super smiley, such a good host! He helped us book snorkelling trip, scooter rental, and more. the ladies are super kind as well, and breakfast was always very nice. we absolutely loved this place and our time at Meket.

Very good

The pool area is so pretty, loved the swings! Sadly we didn't have the best weather but I can imagine how beautiful sunset would be from here. The young boy who worked there was very friendly. Breakfast was tasty and they catered for a slightly earlier breakfast when we had a trip booked which was amazing. The complex felt safe. Basic room with basic facilities but had everything we needed for two nights and at an excellent price. Location is okay being only 20 mins from the port (as with anywhere on Nusa Penida, you will need a bike or driver) and there is an amazing warung just a couple of minutes walk up the road where we are both nights of our stay. Also close to Gamat Bay Beach which we would 100% recommend if you don't mind a 15 min hike.

It didn't bother us but expect bugs and lizards. Here you will be in the middle of nature so there are a lot of ants by the pool, we also had many on our balcony but our room was pretty clean with minimal bugs. Also expect a wet room bathroom (again, not a problem for us). Not in relation to the hotel but taxis on Nusa Penida are fairly expensive and randomly priced so please consider this. The boy wasn't working the day we checked out and we were asked to pay an incorrect bill, given the language barrier, this was a slight inconvenience but did get resolved so wasn't too much of a problem.

We had an exceptional stay at Meket Bungalows! The facilities are clean. We enjoyed the room and swimming at the pool during sunset. For lunch/dinner dining option, we were able to walk over to Namaste Bungalows in a few minutes for their restaurant. Lastly, our host Dedek has been very welcoming and accommodating. My husband and I were scared of driving scooters since the roads are not in great conditions in Nusa Penida. Dedek picked us up from Crystal Bay one evening as we were stranded there after dinner. We were also luckily in town when the neighborhood temple was having an anniversary celebration, our host recommended us to check it out and offered us a ride as well! We also had to leave the bungalow really early one morning because we had a dive trip, Dedek also offered to make our breakfast that morning to accommodate our schedule. Overall we had a wonderful stay and really appreciate his hospitality!

The best place in Nusa

Amazing property!! Very well located to visit the main points of the island. Close to the main port and 5min from crystal bay. Adi is extremely friendly and professional, always smiling wanting to do everything possible to help. The girls who prepare the tasty breakfast are also extremely kind. The pool is so beautiful with a great view. I slept like a baby. So silent during the night and amazing to wake up with the birds. I booked for 1 night and extended for 3 in total. I already miss this place. Highly recommended!

Extraordinary Stay

My overall stay here was exceptional. The rooms were super clean and well-maintained. They have hgh-speed wifi, perfect for creators like myself. The breakfast was delicious; I didn't have to pay extra since it was included in the price. There is a garden, pool and a pretty swing where you chill. The staff was very courteous and also provided pickup and drop service. But, the best part was the location. There are so many beaches nearby, like the famous Crystal Beach, which made it easy for me to explore. Highly recommended

beautiful place, terrible location

We arrived at the hotel and the receptionist was super nice, the space is beautiful with a gorgeous pool overlooking the hills. Unfortunately as soon as we entered the room we realized it just wasn't for us, the main road to Crystal Bay is right behind the bungalows and the sound of cars and motorbikes goes right thru the bedroom. The cleaning could also be improved as there was much dust on the bedroom shelves. Incidentally, we had booked an Airbnb as well (because of a previous change of plans) so we decided to leave. The receptionist didn't offer to refund part or all of the booking cost either.

Lots of noise in the bedroom as the main road is just a few meters behind your bedhead, the bathrooms could be amply improved and the cleaning could be much better.

Very comfortable bungalows with the best customer services - very friendly personnel

These bungalows are owned and managed with a local family and they made our stay extremely comfortable. They helped us to organise the transport from Bali to Nusa and back, and also a sightseeing tour in Nusa Penida, with very realiable drivers. As we are not driving, they also offered to drive me and my friend to the restaurants at night. The bungalow is comfortable, as it is in the pictures, and they offer a welcome drink. The breakfast provided is good and complete. I would stay again here.
