I have stayed a few times at the Mayflower now and it is just as expected and as pictured.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—we were able to walk everywhere, even to the pier, which was about a 30-minute walk. The room was spacious, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable.
The complimentary breakfast was good and included a nice variety of options such as fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, milk, and coffee.
One thing we really appreciated was that they stored our luggage after checkout until it was time to head to the airport. That allowed us to keep exploring the city without having to carry our bags around. The lady at the front desk was always kind, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay.
The only downsides were a strange odor in the hallway and the lack of on-site parking. Since we had a car, we had to pay $40 per day to park in a garage on the same street as the hotel.
Overall, we had a very positive experience and would stay here again.

Not only were there rooms well constructed and beautifully renovated, they were very big considering the price and had many classes including a walk-in. The staff was incredibly nice both during the day and the evening, and we're always forthcoming with information. They were also very good at explaining how to use the old fashioned elevators. The main lobby was absolutely beautiful and had an old world charm, and I would definitively stay there again.
