    I booked two nights at the Amari first for its exceptionally reasonable price, and second for its location, close to Union Square and central SF. I had stayed in a hotel in the same area 35 years before and couldn't have been happier. It turns out, the hotel I stayed in years ago, The Beresford, had become the Amari. Very spooky. The Amari was as pleasant a stay as the Beresford: clean, quiet, nicely if modestly furnished, and perfectly located in the Nob Hill area. You won't find a better deal for this grade hotel in this neighborhood. Highly recommended!

    I went in the day before to confirm that my booking was confirmed. The concierge confirmed my stay. I go in the next day and he states that my booking was cancelled and that the only way I could get the room that I had booked was to pay the new listed price at much higher rate. The crazy thing is that I was not the only one. He did the same thing to a family of 8 that were supposed to stay at the hotel for 9 days.
