Good stay in a central location. Friendly staff and room met standards for cleanliness and space. Only challenge is finding parking, but outside of that- this hotel is a good find for the price.
    6.4 / 10Average·Sep 2026
The Carlton is conveniently placed for accessing all of San Francisco by public transport. It has an old fashioned feel with furniture to match, which we liked, and the high ceilings made the room feel larger than it was. The staff were friendly and helpful. On the negative side, the room was only cleaned every 2 days, and the hot drink facilities in the lobby were rudimentary.
