    We had an excellent stay at the Marines Memorial Club hotel. The only disappointment (but I guess that's true of everywhere in America) is being hassled for tips on the included items. When leaving the Happy Hour and buffet breakfast, it is made very clear that you are expected to leave a tip. These all add up, so please make sure you budget for them.

    The hotel was in an excellent location. The room was perfectly fine in terms of both size and cleanliness, especially considering that this is an older hotel. The bathroom, however, was extremely small. It was quite difficult to move around between the sink and the bathtub. Unfortunately, the sink was also clogged after just the first 10 seconds of using the water. This was a bit disappointing, as something like this should normally be noticed during housekeeping and taken care of before the room is given to the next guest. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent and really raised the overall level of the hotel. There was a large dining area and a very impressive variety of food to choose from. The hotel also offered three complimentary drinks during happy hour from 4 to 6 PM on our first day, which was a very nice touch. Despite the issue with the sink, I believe this hotel is definitely worth staying at and deserves a good recommendation. The excellent location, great breakfast, and overall experience make it a good choice.

    Great location. Some parts of this city are horrible with homeless everywhere. I’ve never seen it this bad. The Fisherman’s Wharf was awesome lots to do. shops. Food.

    Old and not maintained hotel. I got the king size bed room and unfortunately it wasn’t up to par. Everything was just old and needed some maintenance. There was coffee stains on the bedside table. The doorknobs were rusty. The TV remote control and hair dryer was super sticky, like it has never been cleaned or sanitized before. I didn’t even want to step in the shower. I thought it would be a good hotel because of the reviews but use your money to a much better hotel. I must say though, I like how they had a luggage storage. Staff were nice.
