    Love this hotel and location. Lovely and clean room. Able to get early check-in. Libby on reception is an absolute gem. Always pleasant and professional and always happy to help. Breakfast was ok, much better the previous time.

    My mum and I stayed here for three nights. The hotel’s location is its biggest advantage—it’s right next to the train station, making it very convenient for anyone travelling by rail or planning day trips to nearby towns. It’s also close to Nottingham city centre. You can walk there in around 30 minutes, or take an Uber for approximately £6, which takes just 5–7 minutes. The hotel itself, however, feels a little run down. The lobby and lifts could do with a more thorough clean. Our room was a good size, but the bathroom didn’t meet what I’d expect from a four-star hotel. The sink needed a proper clean as there was mould present, and some of the tile grout also had mould and would benefit from resealing. The shower curtain looked worn and should probably be replaced. On the positive side, the air conditioning worked well, and the bed was comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. The staff were polite and professional, although a warmer, friendlier approach would have made the stay more welcoming. Breakfast was fairly mediocre—perfectly adequate, but nothing memorable. Overall, it was fine for a short stay thanks to the excellent location, but it didn’t quite deliver the four-star experience I was expecting.
