I stayed at Hotel Xola on February 8–9, 2026, in room 318, booked through Agoda. At check‑in, the hotel charged a $100 security deposit to my debit card. When I first entered the room, the smoke detector was already covered. I did not smoke in the room at any time, did not cover or tamper with the detector, and there was no mention of any problem when I checked out. After my stay, the hotel kept my $100 deposit, claiming there was smoking in the room and that the detector was covered, even though that is how I found it and I reported it. The General Manager has refused to take or return my calls, and the hotel has not provided any photos, incident reports, or proof that I smoked or caused any damage. Because of this, I cannot recommend this property. Future guests should be aware that deposits may be kept for alleged smoking violations even when you do not smoke and report pre‑existing issues in the room.

When I did a reservation, I asked for non-smoking room. Whe We entered the room its smell so bad, I went back and the lady told me that the rooms were over booked and that was the only room left. The light bulb of the lamp was broken, no control for the tv. Broken door, no soap to wash hands.. trash outside of the room. I wanted to upload pics but app didn't let me
