Simple, Clean Stay with Private Parking — Suited for Short Visits

I liked the dedicated parking and the clear instructions from the host on how to reach it. The room and neighbourhood were quiet, and the property is relatively close to the centre when using public transport. There are also convenient grocery stores nearby, including Kaufland.

Despite previous guest feedback, the kitchen remains extremely limited. It is difficult to prepare even the simplest meal — you can’t fry an egg or reheat food in a practical way, which significantly reduces the convenience of the stay. The same applies to the bathroom: still no shower curtain, and only a small hand-wash soap is provided, with nothing suitable for an actual shower. Regarding checkout, although the official time is 12:00, I began receiving calls from the host at 11:20. When I didn’t answer while showering, the doorbell was rung at 11:45. After I reminded the host that checkout was at 12:00, I was told I had “five minutes,” and she waited in the corridor until I left. This created an unnecessary sense of pressure, even though I checked out exactly on time.

Smoking has been permitted on the enclosed balcony so the whole apartment reeks of cigarettes.

The location was good, host friendly, the stay included an easy to access private parking spot and was close to restaurants and a supermarket. Everything was in working order inside the apartment.

We only book explicitly non-smoking locations and we struggled with the persistent smell of cigarette smoke in this apartment. There is an enclosed balcony where smoking is permitted that connects directly to the bedroom. The smell permeates into the apartment and air conditioning. This balcony is also where they have set up to dry clothes. Opening the windows and getting air circulation between guests may help but the smell seems to be an issue with the whole apartment complex. If you have young children or are sensitive to cigarette smoke I would not recommend it.

Nice apartment in Veliko Turnovo

The apartment is very close to restaurants and supermarkets. Specifically, it's next to a Billa supermarket, which sells cooked food, making it easy to order breakfast and dinner. The host offers free parking, which is convenient and easy to use. The apartment has an elevator. The room temperature is pleasant. The room is clean. The kitchen has a coffee maker and refrigerator. They provide coffee pods for the coffee maker. The bed is large and comfortable. The host is friendly and communicates via WhatsApp in Spanish. The apartment is quite at night.

The apartment is a bit far from the center of Veliko Turnovo, although it is easily accessible on foot (around 3.5 km). The first time I was in the apartment, there was no sugar. As happens in most toilets in Bulgaria, the shower is next to the sink and toilet, without a screen separating them, so the entire bathroom gets wet when the shower is used.

I was in this apartment during two different nights, so I will repeat my comment for the first experience, with some differences compared to the first time. the apartment is very clean and has all the basic amenities you could need such as decent beds, wardrobes etc, host was friendly and went through entering/using everything on arrival

the balcony is tired and the chairs on it not very comfortable but it was very usable, could have done with a kettle but managed fine boiling water in the pan

The apartment is big (we were 2, me and my boyfriend), with all the facilities one can need. The position is good, 15 min away from the center by foot. The comunication with the host was very good and he was very friendly and helpful, thanks a lot :)
