Hmong house Sapa

I had an excellent three-night stay at Hmong House Sapa. The homestay is about a 25–30 minute drive from Sapa town and is located right on the edge of the rice terraces. The location was exactly what I was looking for. The view from my bungalow was superb, with the balcony overlooking the mountains and the surrounding rice terraces. The room was well equipped, with tea/coffee-making facilities, the bathroom was spacious and had hot water. One minor issue was the gap at the bottom of the doors, which meant I had to keep it plugged to prevent insects or other unwanted creatures from getting inside. The dining area offered another fantastic view. They serve a homemade breakfast and, if you opt for it, a lavish dinner that guests share around a large communal table. One of the family members usually joins the guests and shares local information and stories. I really enjoyed this aspect of the stay, not only getting to know the family but also sharing the table and conversations with other guests. It made the dining experience very enjoyable. The dinner was excellent, both in terms of the variety of the spread and the quality of the food. The homestay is run by a young and lovely family who were extremely friendly, hospitable and a pleasure to interact with. They can also arrange local transportation as well as various treks and activities in the area. Overall, it was a delightful stay, particularly because of the beautiful location, wonderful views, excellent food and the warm hospitality of the family.

10/10 – An authentic and unforgettable experience in the heart of the rice fields What we loved most was the authenticity of this place. The property is nestled among the rice fields, right in the heart of a Hmong village just a few kilometres from Sapa, far away from the noise and crowds of the town. The bungalows offer breathtaking views over the rice terraces and the river and are equipped with every comfort you could need. Su and her husband are incredibly welcoming, kind and helpful, always available to arrange anything we asked for, from tours through the rice fields to scooter rental and traditional hot herbal baths. We strongly recommend having dinner at the property. Su, her sister and the entire staff are excellent. The prices are extremely reasonable, and the tables are filled with generous portions of incredibly fresh local products and delicious homemade dishes. Breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the rice fields, is also a wonderful way to start the day. A special mention goes to our tour with Nay: walking through the bamboo forest and rice terraces, swimming in a waterfall, following the river and finally relaxing in a traditional hot herbal bath. It was a truly unforgettable experience and one that we will carry in our hearts forever. If you are looking for an authentic experience in Sapa, surrounded by nature and local life, this is the perfect place. 10/10 – Absolutely recommended.

Beautiful location, hosts were exceptional. Family dinners were a highlight!

The view and bungalow with balcony are nice. Location is on steep hill. Office charge a high price for a ride to town. House keeping was poor. There were food crumbs and smell from the cocktail table cover. I told manager. He said nothing. Good for 1-2 nights, not great longer.

Far out, hard for Uber to find, expensive to get to town. Day tour booked by the office was just some neighbors, not professional , charged at professional, US prices.
