Quiet and peaceful serene rural outlook opening up with a view of the Hokianga Harbour. Small Forestry block of land with a few animals. Just 10 minutes by car to Opononi Beach. Self contained unit with fire place, private and great views of the surrounding area. Opononi has white sand beaches and the magnificent sand dunes. Closest shops and hotels are in Opononi itself. Rawene which is regarded as the ferry town is 15 minutes away by car.
A great place to stay if you would like to get away from the crowds but close enough to the beach and tourist attractions.

The first thought stunning the view from the bach absolutely amazing. We arrived late no problem the accommodation was perfect above and beyond what we needed. We planned on living down at the beach anyway lol however quite surprised we had everything we wanted including sky tv. The best thing is how quiet it is, so peaceful. Sharon was an amazing host upon arrival we found our fridge fully stocked with essentials Milk, bread, butter our friends couldnt believe all that we had been given lol. The place was situated perfectly between Rawene and Opononi which was super convenient for us as we had to cross the Hokianga Habour. Would definitely recommend staying here

This place has all you need and is conveniently located for both West and East Coast trips. The view from the bach is stunning and on a clear night the stars are spectacular. Sharon was a friendly and helpful host. We would recommend to others. Thanks for a great stay.

Clean and tidy with comfortable single bed and comfortable trundler bed - which was not what we had expected. The place is TINY but we stayed only one night so it was workable. Weather was atrocious - scarily high winds which made the place creak, and pelting rain. Parking space small and awkward but host was friendly and helpful.

We loved staying in this little Bach, it was perfect for the three of us. Sharon and her husband are lovely and accommodating. We were very lucky to get this accomodation as everywhere was booked over the Xmas period. Facilities were clean and the view is beautiful!!! We were given home grown bananas and there was a continental breaky for the morning. We will definitely be staying here on our future travels Highly recommend!!

Fine, if small, space for a family of 4. Very comfortable main bed. The kitchen can handle meals prepared in an large electric frypan but it was pretty awkward in such a small space and with limited kitchenware. TV required frequent restarts, and would have been good if there was more of a landing or awning by the door to transition from wet to dry. Small tramp was fun for kids. Communication with owner was great. Location close to Opononi and all the wonders of the Hokianga.

It's a shame we only spent one night here as it was great. The unit was perfect for the 3 of us. Lovely to not have to worry about breakfast in the morning with the cereal, bread and jam provided. If you wish to have a week end or more of disconnection from urban life, this is the place to stay. Amazing view on Hokionga harbour, nice little unit on the farm, very proper. Owners are very kind people. We had a great time.

Warmly met by Sharon and hubby and given some beautiful home grown bananas to enjoy. Both very kind and welcoming. Lovely independent and private unit up the hill, surrounded by friendly cows! They loved mooing, some at night but that was fine. Unit very clean and lovely comfortable bed. It's a bit of a drive from Opononi but we'll worth it.

I stayed at the bach with my husband, sister in law and my 7month old daughter.We had a beautiful stay! Sharon and Ian were very warm and welcoming! We enjoyed the chats and generosity (Ian gave some beautiful bananas from his plantation). Sharon went the extra mile providing cereal boxes, lots of milk, juice, butter, jam, bread and tea. The place was very clean and cosy. We hinted to Ian to update the photos online because they don’t do the place justice! Sharon lovingly let us borrow a portacot for my little one to use. Our daughter loved the cattle on the property. The scenery was beautiful and the location nice and quiet. The stars were beautiful and bright at night and we even saw a few shooting stars. Thank you Sharon and Ian for a wonderful stay. Take care and all the best with extending and renovating the bach...Pamela

We enjoyed our stay with Sharon and Ian, they are very friendly and extremely helpful. It’s a lovely little Bach in the country side with amazing views. It was just a little bit small for all of us and it could do with a bigger fridge/freezer and maybe a aircon or at least some fans. It’s more suited for a overnight or short stay and for a couple or single person. But very clean and tidy and extremely quiet. Thank you for accommodating us all and for going out your way to make it as comfortable as possible for us. Hope too see you one day again.

This property was exactly as listed - rural, peaceful, very clean and well presented, basic kitchen facilities and very generous breakfast supplies. Beds were very comfortable and hosts friendly but gave us space. Perfect for our New Years stay when we wanted to avoid crowds and noise. Lovely view over farm land to the Harbour. Very reasonably priced for 2 adults and 2 kids.
