Beautiful spacious house for a family, the location exceeded our expectations, it was so beautiful being surrounded by mountains, streams and nature itself. The host was lovely, Accessable if needed and the icing on the cake was a big lit up Christmas tree making our family pre Christmas break even more special 🎄🤗🩷

There was only one thing but minor. There were no baking trays for cooking but we picked some foil ones up in the supermarket so sorted out Christmas dinner 🤗

The property was too warm but you couldn’t adjust the heat. You had to pay for extra toilet paper (only 2 small rolls for 4 ppl, 5 days) which is ridiculous at this price. Water pressure in the shower was poor.

Absolutely wonderful lodge. The views are incredible, very clean property, fireplace was a nice bonus. Smooth check in process. Everything you need to cook a nice meal. Provided baby cot and high chair when requested. Such a great stay.

A very relaxing weekend in a tranquil, remote location with plenty of space between lodges/cottages

Beautiful remote location, lovely 3 bedroom cottage with great views of the Nevis Range

Couple of fixture/fittings loose or missing. No free log store. Some additional kitchen utensils and cutlery required (tongs, teaspoons). Larger towels would be good. extra coffee pods for duration of stay. 3 flat white coffee pods for 5 people over 3 days isn’t enough.

Super relaxing, great hosts and excellent lodge.

Great welcome from the owner . Beautiful clean lodge . Complete peace and tranquillity, you can't even see a house from the lodge .Walks right on your doorstep. It's only a 20 minute drive from the Nevis range . Aldi and Marks and Spencer Food Hall only a 15 minute drive away as is Fort William.

The single track lane to get to the property can be a little challenging, depending on how many people you pass, but luckily not much traffic.

An amazing view, hot tub was extremely comfortable and we were happy to sit outside all day! Beautiful home.

the rooms were quite tight but overall comfortable. we couldn’t have our bags in the room with us in the second room really except to wedge into closet. Also no paper towels available.

A remarkable wilderness experience in the midst of modern comfort.

Superb location right in the Highlands itself. A lodge with all modern conveniences, out in the wilderness of the terrain. From the living room, a panorama view of the distant mountains. A walk in the estate brought features of the Highlands up close, of bare hill slopes as far as the eyes can see, of torrential sounds of fast flowing streams that dance before the ears.

Cosy, comfortable house in awesome location

Cosy, comfortable house in an absolute awesome location. My daughter forgot her scarf and we were called within a day that it would be sent to us by mail. What a great service!

The awesomeness comes at a price which is fair enough, but especially in a rural environment with plenty of wood around I wouldn’t charge an additional 10 pounds for a few logs for the fireplace (If necessary rather charge a little bit more per night)

The house was beautiful, peaceful, well appointed. The estate manager, Frithjof, was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

The owner of the estate told my children off for 'chasing the ducks' whilst I wasn't present, which I don't have a problem with in principle but he should have told us when we arrived that the children were not to go near the pond due to nesting ducks. I have spoken in depth with my children about this (they are 7 and 12, sensible and generally we'll behaved) who state they did not chase the ducks, merely walked to the pond. The next day the owner took the opportunity to admonish my children again about this incident, at least this time he said it to me instead of them. If the owners didn't want us or the children near the pond this information should have been shared with me upon our arrival, and the owner should have come to me to discuss at the time of the incident rather than having a go at the children. I'm disappointed as this interaction made me not feel comfortable to walk around the estate and so inspite of the glorious surroundings and the helpfulness of Frithjof I wouldn't stay here again.

Relaxing, welcoming, warm with stunning views and walks.

The property was clean, warm and well maintained. I think it is the most eco friendly place I have ever stayed at with solar energy and self stored water supply. The white goods were fairly new and the kitchen well stocked with regard to cutlery, crockery and utensils. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding and towels provided were immaculately clean. The views from the sitting room were spectacular especially as our visit was during winter so the snow on the surrounding hills and mountains just added to the enjoyment of our time there. We also took our dog with us with prior arrangement which meant that we paid a small fee for additional cleaning but this was well worth the money as it meant we could have our dog on holiday with us.

Such an amazing place

3 miles or so off the main road you weave through the forest and arrive at the estate.. views everywhere you look, stream running through, mountains all around …Such an amazing place to visit and stay. This was our 2nd year here and gets better each time we stay.. The lodges are warm and comfortable with everything you could need.. perfect little place to relax away from the city.

Very good and enjoyable but don't expect fantastic things from McClean House

It was in a beautiful area and everyone was lovley. The heated floors were great and the furniture was very comfy. I loved our stay

We did not enjoy how far down a windy dirt track it was. (I know that is not really in your control) and the oven did not work very well, it took 45 minutes to cook something that should take 15 minutes.
