Everything was spectacular. The grounds were immaculate. The check in process was seamless. Our room was BEAUTIFUL. The breakfast was wonderful every day and my wife and I loved coming downstairs in the afternoons and evenings for tea. Couldn't have asked for a better trip!
Nothing! Was a perfect stay.

Beautiful building, lovely room, great staff, very romantic atmosphere
I liked it all

The breakfast was awesome. So many choices. What I liked best about the hotel was the building itself, the gorgeous public rooms and the stunning view from the public rooms. The staff was excellent from front desk to housekeeping.
Next time, even though I was alone, I would get a bigger room. The bathroom was large but the bedroom with the single bed was rather small with no window. I slept well, but I like my rooms a bit larger.

Inverlochy was wonderful and the food, prefix, was splendid!
The bedding felt like we were drowning in sheets. If the beautiful top sheet had been folded down to the blanket, we would have had plenty of coverage with the bottom top sheet and the blanket.

The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, but what truly gave our stay its soul was William. From the moment he checked us in, to serving us lunch, recommending outstanding wines – and only later discovering that he happens to be an exceptional sommelier – he impressed us at every turn. Long after dinner service, he was still there preparing everything for the next day, always with a smile and genuine warmth. His dedication and energy transformed our stay into something truly special.

The breakfast was of good quality but not very extensive
Inverlochy hotel's price/quality is totally out of balance. Comparing to the Cromlix where we were the days before.
No welcome drink at arrival/ bad matrass/old material/ no extra toiletpaper in the bathroom/ the staff was too formal and distant/ no terrace open/ no fresh fruit in the rooms or chocolate.

Impressive castle very cool
I was put in a tiny room. Lots of noise through the night like pots and pans , kitchen noises woke me up could have been a ghost I suppose

Our walled garden room with patio was superb. Great outlook, private, quiet. The set dinner both individually, also the shared table provided excellent friendly people from USA, Europe and Australia.
A highly enjoyable 3 night experience.
Our wet room shower, large bath and twin washbasins were perfect.Larger than many King size bedrooms,

Soap proved a great dinner laughter chat

Neat to be in a “castle like” hotel.
The “lounge” was very disorganized and uncomfortable to try to eat at a couch. I think the staff had a large group at Seagair and lacked any notice of us. Disappointing for the over $1,000 /night and very expensive /light pour drinks.

Location
Listed as Dog Friendly. Dogs only in room no where else. Rooms overlooking walled garden no net curtains so no privacy from visitors to the garden
Taster menu poor value

1. Great location, historic building
2. Good food in lounge, breakfast, and Factors Inn which is nearby
3. Friendly staff, I had the impression they were mostly trying to be helpful and resolve problems
1. Security. I was staying in ground floor suite in the walled garden. I got back to the room to find the patio door open
2. Plumbing. Multiple faults. Round 01 right hand tap leaking, shower does not drain. Round 02 right hand tap fixed, left hand sink now leaks, shower still does not drain. Round 03 shower still does not drain, we are moved to another room
3. Housekeeping. Please just reset the room. I should not have to call for towels and toiletries. Cleaning inside drawers now and then would be good
4. Fine dining is not very fine. I suggest you pass on Seasgair

Astor was beautiful and tasting menu we had for dinner was amazing. Congrats to the chef!! We were not able to reserve a room in the castle and stayed in the garden rooms which can get very hot.

From the initial welcome to departure, we were treated like royalty. Lovely warm service, excellent food quality and choice and sumptuous surroundings. What's not to like. Pure indulgence.
Apart from the very noisy bedsheets, we loved everything.

The location is unique, with breathtaking views of the mountains and the countryside.
The castle itself is beautiful and remained very authentic, the gardens and the woods allow for very pleasant walks.
It's the perfect place to disconnect.
The hotel is not very well suites for families with babies or toddlers in my opinion, because there isn't much flexibility regarding dining options and dîner time (the only real dining option is formal and not adapted for young kids).
The room service is not available to the rooms located in front of the walled garden.

Breakfast was quite good but the service was slow, haphazard and inconsistent.
The dinner on Saturday evening for which we paid $250AUD per head was uninspiring and entirely unsatisfactory. The first course was acceptable but the subsequent courses very disappointing. Soup served lukewarm is not OK at this price.

Location and view
Breakfast was poorest we had in Scotland, bread was not quality ,you would have expected fine produce from a hotel if this star rated and the waffles were low grade , I couldn’t eat them so poor. Maids came in at 9 and even though we were in room just carried on and wouldn’t leave even though told them we had to get a train shortly, Safe and tv didn’t work and weren’t fixed while we were, proper poor service,

It was nice to be able to stay a night in a historic castle.
The breakfast buffet was nice but was difficult to reach items on the cold buffet bar. it was on a large round table and items in the middle were difficult to reach without reaching over over food items. Also did not like the multiple notes before the stay in attempts to up-sell services the castle were providing.

a stunning castle in a beautiful setting.
i would say the overall pricing was a little expensive for what you received - but this does appeal to the higher end of the market.
a couple of issues with lack of water pressure and leaking toilet that were not attended to,

WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE HOTEL, STAFF, GARDENS AND CUISINE. ALSO THE LOCATION IS EXCEPTIONAL. THE DINNER PRESENTATION IS EXCITING TOGETHER WITH A LOVELY BREAKFAST. OUR SUITE WAS ALSO WONDERFUL THE STAFF COULD NOT BE MORE PROFESSIONAL AND HELFFUL. A VERY NICE HOTEL FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS. MY WIFE REALLY ENJOYED HER BIRTHDAY THERE

The views and architecture of the house. The staff and service was excellent. Excellent dinner with trends Doug’s timing on a beautiful sunset! Drinks before and after dinner were exceptional as well.
Worked out fine, but wish we would have know there was no air conditioning only because it was hard for a window to be left open due to the midges.
