It was in a beautiful location. It was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Being located next to the owners meant any issues could be resolved quickly. The owner was very friendly
The mattress had seen better days and needs changing. There was no hot water in the toilet other than the electric shower

Stunning countryside location, peaceful, friendly hosts who also gave you enough space to do your own thing. Lots of friendly animals roaming around - the dogs and cat were gorgeous, and nice to have some pet company (if you're not an animal fan this may not be the place for you). The kitchen was well-equipped with everything I needed, and the place itself (because of the stone walls) was lovely and cool - perfect during the heatwave! The guest garden with table and chairs, and a hammock was a bonus. There's also a BBQ in the guest garden but I didn't use that.
Because there are only small windows on the front of the property it could be quite dark inside - had to use the lamps during the day

If you want to get away from it all with fantastic views fresh air and peace this is the place for you, when you get to the gate its nearly a mile up a track up the mountain to the farm house and cottage, the views just driving up are lovely. At the property there is a dedicated parking space for guests. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable and warm (we visited in November) with all you need inside, when we arrived there was a loaf of bread and milk waiting for us.
Carys and Kerry are such lovely people and hosts if you need anything or information they will assist, but also leave you to enjoy your stay, they will introduce you to their pygmy goats and a few other animals they are all very friendly.
The cottage is well situated for travel, within a short while you are in the Brecon Beacons, or in the other direction the M4 and also the town of Bridgend for shopping only a few minuets away.

It was comfortable and well kitted out. The owners were lovely and welcoming, putting some lovely extra touches in place to make us feel special. We were able to meet the animals as well which was brilliant and there are nice walks nearby.
There were a few spiders but that’s to be expected in the countryside

The host were lovely and always very helpful. The location was very quiet and in the middle of the country up a steep road into the hills. Dark at night, no street lights to keep you awake. It was near to the sea, The Gower, and Brecon Beacons. M4 close making journeys straightforward.
The kitchen was small but manageable for two. Fridge cold, some are useless! Freezer useful. Bar and stools to eat at, no table but o k. Good hob and oven o k -no timer which l missed. T v o k. possible to use your Netflix or Prime membership if you have it.
The bed was not comfortable, it was soft and springy and every move disturbed the other occupant. We didn’t sleep well. Gave me back ache and I don’t have a bad back! It is a literal double so no extra space, especially if you are used to slightly bigger.
The space at the bottom of the bed to get to the bathroom is extremely small. Can only get through sideways on. Difficult enough when awake, but definitely disturbed the sleeper, squeezing past their feet near the bottom of the bed in the night. Would not suit anyone over a small build, luckily we are, or with mobility or knee issues.
Though not a problem for us the welcome pack was the poorest we have ever had, and we do holiday a lot!
Could have done with a book of appliance instructions and a folder of places to visit. Again not a problem for us as my husband is quite good with the t. V. Wi-Fi, and I manage oven, washing machine but some may not. Also I always know what I want to do and where to go, and where to eat out, but again people find this info very helpful. We always look just in case there is something I have missed.

Beautiful location with amazing views. Very warm and comfortable with secure parking. A warm welcome by owners and their dogs :) Some great trail running and hiking from the doorstep. Only 10 minutes from local amenities. I stayed in the winter but I'm sure in the summer, the garden would be great to sit in and relax.
