Very nice place

I had a wonderful stay at this property. The place is clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The location is convenient, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I would gladly return and highly recommend this place to others.

Terrace house with mountain view

Convenient location for us as we had friends and family nearby. It was easy for us to visit as we didn't have transport. Close to walking trails and bike trails. Corrwg Cwtch (cafe) was easy to walk to with great coffee, meals, and entertainment on special nights. Bike hire available at Afan Valley Mountain Centre. Our accommodation had a lockable shed for your own bikes and rear access to property. The three bedrooms were comfy with the central heating in each. The bathroom was spacious with all the amenities (shower/bath combo and toilet and wash basin. Kitchen was well equipped with all the mod cons eg fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, kettle and washingmachine. Lounge room comfy with TV, coffee table, and comfortable lounge (the soft blanket was an extra touch that was welcomed). Big window with a lovely view of the mountain opposite and sheep graxmzing. The separate dining room was big enough to have a table with 6 seats. Under the stairs, there was a clothes horse, extra pillows, and general area for storage for coats and boots.

Outside light did not work, and although I requested it be fixed during our 4 week stay, it was not. I have an elderly mother who found it difficult to see the steps outside. Luckily, we brought our own torch with us. Instructions on how to use the washer/dryer combo would have been useful. The central heating was new to us Australians, and when I messaged how to use it, I was told the instructions were on the wall. Again, we are short, the instructions taped to the wall were high up and small. It would have been more convenient to photocopy them and enlarge them and perhaps laminate them along with instructions on how to use the washing machine and place in a more accessible location. The front (and rear steps) perhaps need a safety strip on the edge to maybe prevent slipping and perhaps fluorescent edge. Instructions on when the rubbish is due and information on recycling would have been welcomed. We bought a cheap mat for the front door as we didn't want to get mud on the carpeted entry. We also bought a rubber mat for the bath to add to the one provided as we found it slippery to get in and out of the high bath. This ensured we did not slip whilst stepping towards the taps.

Very Plesent,modern and clean property, in a well located area.

The place was clean and modern even though it was in an old building, the bathroom was great and the shower was a good size. it had all the facilities that we needed.

The car parking was across the street and around the back of another building and was difficult to get to , it took me over 2 miles to get to it and 3 attempts as there are a lot of 1 way streets and my navman kept getting me lost. This is not the propertys fault and at least they have a dedicated parking bay as parking would have been hard to find and expensive.

Overall, if the home was more properly looked after there wouldn’t be anything bad to say about it. It was cleaned well.

Everything you needed was there, the Wifi was good.

The property felt unstable, front room ceiling doesn’t look safe, the kitchen had damp on the walls and we found 2 slugs on the floor in the nighttime. Most of the paint work was flaking off the walls as well.

The house is comfortable, clean, good bed and space.

The location is poor and I felt not secure in the house. There is nothing to do around apart from the bike park. For this reason the price of the apartment is too expensive.

The house was very spacious with 2 floors and a mini terrace at the back. Good heating throughout the house also the location is next to a beautiful river. Nicely renovated kitchen and new carpet all over the house. The communication from the host was superb. They also have a bike garage but we didn't had time to check. Would recommend to stay.

The location was a bit far but ok for the nice views. To find parking after 10 pm would be a problem unless you dont mind walking. The bedrooms were a bit dusty you could smell the dust while lying on the bed but overall it was a pleasant stay.

Great valley retreat.

Nice comfortable Terrace house with countryside views next to a river in a small village within a dramatic and remote Welsh valley . Ideal base for , walking , mountain biking or just getting away from it all . Nearest mtb trail centre 5 minute ride away . Walking from the door within 5 minute walk of a waterfall. Lovely interior really enjoyed our stay !
