Location and views. Very sunny terrace and shady area. Very complete apartment with all facilities.

Bathroom lighting was not bright enough. Skirting boards in kitchen need a bit of fixing.

Terrace with view over the sea

We chose this cottage because of its advertised location, just a five-minute walk from the beach, and the promise of a sea view. The hosts provided excellent communication and clear check-in instructions, and the property itself is spacious, with a pleasant open-plan layout and large patio doors leading to the garden. The bedrooms are a good size, with one double room and one twin room.

Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by several issues relating to cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort. The most concerning issue was the condition of the bedrooms. They had a strong musty, mouldy smell, and the carpets felt damp and very cold throughout our stay. We had to keep the dehumidifier running for the entire two-night stay in an attempt to reduce the dampness. Despite this, the air quality remained poor. My wife developed a persistent cough during our stay. While we cannot say for certain what caused it, the damp and mouldy conditions were concerning and could be particularly problematic for guests with asthma, allergies, or other respiratory conditions. There was also a strong urine smell in the hallway and living room, which was unpleasant and difficult to ignore. The living room furniture was disappointing. The white leather sofa was heavily worn, split, and visibly dirty. The throw and blanket provided on the sofa also appeared unclean, and two of my visiting guests reported feeling as though they were being bitten while using them, which raised concerns about the cleanliness of the furnishings. Outside, the BBQ had clearly not been cleaned after the previous guests, making it unusable without first having to clean it ourselves. The second bedroom also lacked basic storage and furniture. There was nowhere to hang clothes and no dressing table or chest of drawers, making it inconvenient for guests staying more than a night. Although the property does have a sea view, much of it is blocked by overgrown bushes, trees, weeds, invasive plants, and brambles, making it uncomfortable to approach or enjoy parts of the garden. Better garden maintenance would not only restore the advertised sea view but also make the outdoor space far more inviting and usable. To add to our disappointment, we were asked by the owner to vacate the property by 10:00 a.m., even though the standard advertised check-out time was 11:00 a.m.
