The sofa bed . and sofa very low to sit on .not knocking the place host was great .TV channels very poor but it's standard free view in most places I've stayed very spacious daughter and our dog loved the stay

Wrote our concerns to Booking.com ref our views. At no point did we request a refund we were merely informing them of our findings.
We wrote the following;
Very disappointed with this accommodation. Very old and not really well kept. Windows the no curtains rugs everywhere which was a trip hazard. Heating regulated by owner. TV pre Jurassic. Very tired property with a gas regulator open unboxed and in the lounge.
The owners response was as follows;
Hi, my answers are as follows---
1 - yes the property is old, built early 19th century and this is the 1st
guest in 4 years that has said its not well maintained considering they're
are new carpets...
2 - yes there are windows without curtains but there is no possible way of
anyone seeing in to the Apartment through those windows.....
3 - yes there are runners and rugs throughout the Apartment and if the
guest thought they were a trip hazard they could have asked me or rolled
them up.....
4 - again they are right, the heating can't be regulated by the guest but
it states that in the property description, and no other guest has ever
mentioned this in 4 years.....
5 - just because the tv didn't have a hdmi socket be didn't like that so I
sourced a tv with a hdmi socket and put it in the Apartment for him..
6 - the Apartment isn't tired looking, it was freshly decorated when the
new flooring was laid in February......
7 - yes the gas regulator is open and unboxed and I'm assured by a
qualified gas person that this is perfectly safe if not tapered with as
it's anything....
I'm my opinion thus is an overbearing and entitled guest, and no I don't
agree with a refund of any sort, please stop this person from booking my
Apartment again and you may pass my comments to them if you wish.

Great location for the beachfront, easy & helpful instructions to follow for key and property access. Lovely spacious and homely apartment, owners considerate of needs of guests, loved the touches of Welsh and local decorative items and reading materials. We had a great stay

Living on a rural detached farm we are not used to neighbours in any shape or form, so understanding it was a flat with people above us was disappointing. We could hear most footsteps and the running of what i believe was the water being used upstairs
. The owner was extremelly helpful with the dogs barking situation ( thank you) .
Unfortunetely the current living room blinds do not block out much light.
Unfortunetely There is no shower but you can hold the bath mixer one over you.

I don’t agree that it sleeps 6, we were 5 and to accommodate us, owner had to set up sofa bed which blocked patio door and made it a tight squeeze past the bed to get to bathroom, also no blinds or curtains across the patio so does not really constitute a sleeping area to me, blinds did not fit front patio doors so didn’t feel had much privacy and again as living area doubles up as sleep area, not very much like excluded. Could do with bath mat as just handheld shower and no curtain and floor very slippy so not good with children. Having fridge next to bed not good as noisy also

Fantastic birthday stay at Newton heath.
When we arrived at the property it was spotless clean as it always is . Its so spacious and everything we needed was there. All we had to.take was our clothes and food. Its do lovely to walk around barefoot as the carpets throughout are so soft and clean. The living room looks a lot larger now since the owner has removed the large firegrate and decorated. There is absolutely nothing at all that we can find fault with , we thoroughly love going here for our birthdays each year , there are lovely beach walks nearby, supermarkets, takeaways , a lovely park, and really close to the town center. Its a really lovely quiet relaxing place to stay. And we highly recomend it to anyone whose looking to go away. The landlord is on hand if you ever have any questions or problems at all. I promise if anyone books here they will not be dissapointed at all. We are going back again in January for my husbands birthday again. Thank you again Rob for a lovely stay as usual. Kim and steve.

what amazing place we found .can't believe our luck . Rob the host was exceptional nothing was to much trouble and the lady who cleans well she is so nice and friendly. after staying close to this property for a number of years this is a great hoilday let close to everything...porthcawl is very close to our hearts ❤ love it down there and to find this place is the icing on the cake. plus we were able to take our little dog definitely be back .Julia Daniel misty

Brilliant apartment
The apartment was very clean, tidy and facilities were brilliant. Everything we needed we had available. The host was amazing and kept in contact throughout out stay incase of anything we needed.
There wasn't anything I disliked about this apartment or our stay.
