Great location and lovely apartment.

The jets in the spa bath weren't working which was really disappointing as it was a main reason for booking this apartment ahead of others in the area.

The location is outstanding, and the host had a lamp on and a towel warming on the rack for us - it was a really lovely touch and made us feel very welcome. They also sent a list of great recommendations before we arrived.

Our stay at the apartment exceeded expectations, it is beautifully furnished throughout, very clean and feels like home immediately welcoming and relaxing. My son and I enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay. The hosts are lovely, respond quickly to any questions before arriving, they even sent details such as local shops and their opening times and things of cultural/historical interest . The flat’s location is perfect, a stones throw from Stirling’s old jail and Stirling Castle. Staying here has completely opened my eyes to apartment staying and we were so lucky to find the Mar apartment. Feeling sad today as it is time to go but I am sure we will be back! ☺️

Cracking accommodation close to the centre of Stirling

The location is ideal for exploring Stirling, close to the town centre and close to the castle - both of which are within walking distance. The flat is also very accessible being on the ground floor. We loved the fact that it was properly a "home from home", and had previously been the owner's family home

The owners had popped the heating on for our arrival which was lovely as it was so cold outside. They had also made it feel nice and Christmassy with lovely decorations. Location excellent.

We only had one key which would have been a hindrance if there for longer but as only one night it was fine.

Great overall and excellent location

Very good location, difficult parking so if you don't have a car, it's really great. The lounge was nice to have. The beds were comfortable and although we didn't use the kitchen it was well-equipped. The bath was also nice, although the mirror had no light and the tub has higher sides than American tubs ( might be hard for people with mobility issues). There were restaurants within a few blocks (great supper at No. 2 Baker St.) and a small convenience store close by.

The linens were very cheap. It wasn't clear what to do with recycling. The nearest restaurants/coffee shops did not open until noon on the Saturday we were there. We walked down to Cafe Nero (about a half mile) for coffee and pastries as we stayed only one night and didn't cook in.

Perfect location 9

This apartment is in a great spot. Centrally located within walking distance of the Stirling castle and downtown shops. You can walk to the train station to take day trips to places in the area. All kinds of restaurants and pubs. The apartment is a nice size. Beautiful bathroom and lovely sitting room. Very clean and well equipped. I would definitely book this again and would recommend to friends and family.

Comfortable stay in historic part of Stirling.

Very comfortable flat, fantastic location, just round the corner from Stirling Castle. Despite being on the ground floor and in the heart of the old town it is very quiet. Flat is cosy and well equipped, easy to find and check in very easy (key box).

The biggest drawback is the climb up the hill to get to the flat! But the reward is a quiet and historic part of town with a short walk round the corner for views over Stirling and surrounding countryside. One minor niggle is some of the furniture and decoration is due for a refresh.

Really great central location.

The location is fantastic. Right in the middle of the old town and within walking distance of restaurants, bars and sights. Parking was much easier than we expected.

It didn't feel very secure in terms of doors and locks. Maybe time for a few updates/upgrades.

The location is extremely good. Central location and great for accessing the castle and the church. Rooms are a good size. Lounge is cosy. The host was very helpful with getting the code to us via whatsapp before we accessed the property. (this is normally done via email, but we have had ongoing issues with our e-sims, so I appreciated how helpful she was with this; she did get out of her way to contact us.)

The parking was stressful, but fortunately we found somewhere nearby eventually. We had been told in advance that there was no parking, but it was still an issue. It was good that it was Saturday afternoon, leading into Sunday, otherwise we would have had to move the car every four hours, and there is no return to the location within the hour. (The parking inspectors are very active in the area!). The fridge still contained someone else's leftover takeaways, and a few items of food, and it was smelly. There were lots of fruitflies in the kitchen as well. One of the beds had hairs on the sheets, which was a little offputting. The bed covers were polyester, which was most uncomfortable on a hot night. I eventually found a cotton sheet, but they should really be the normal provision. The kitchen's pots and pans need a bit of an overhaul. They were certainly not up to cooking for 4 people. Maybe something to consider. The beds were comfortable. The couches look a little 'tired', with blankets on them to cover the cracked leather. They were comfortable, but it is probably time to replace them. The contents of the kitchen drawers were a bit strange. Birthday candles (!), but no tongs, and very limited range of kitchen utensils.

Don't trust them!

I was never given a chance to like anything because the owners never made the keys to available. The keys were supposed to be in a lock box, but there were no keys in that lock box. We had to find other accommodations for the two nights. I sent many messages to rhe owners and they never responded.

Location was very central. Diane was informative and very responsive also had a washing machine for easy use

Has good potential but disappointed.

Proximity to castle and other historic sites. Relative proximity to restaurants and shopping. Kitchen was well supplied. On the whole, the place was clean enough. Quiet. Leisure items such as books welcomed. Good supply of towels.

Toilet seat not attached and unsafe. Contacted owner who was on holiday elsewhere who promised handyman but he didn’t arrive before we left. Need proper screen around shower — curtain too narrow and too short. No toiletries except hand wash. Front door insecure no way of locking. Old lock to apartment door — needs updating. Information folder dated with wrong information. Courtyard out the back was overgrown with weeds. Couldn’t fine rubbish bin for the apartment. Rubbish in courtyard inviting rodents. Rugs and furniture need updating.

Cannot beat the location near Stirling Castle and walking distance to cafes/coffee/pubs. Comfortable beds, clean throughout and easy to access. Ground floor so no stairs. Just a gem of accommodation. The hosts were very responsive and the whole stay was smooth.

Well equipped, spacious flat in a great location.

There is lots to like about this apartment. It was spacious, with very comfy beds, a nice big bath and a well equipped kitchen. It was in a great location near Stirling castle. It came with a nice late checkout time and was good value for money.

There was quite a strong air freshener/incense smell that I found quite strong and sickly when I first went in but it seemed to dissipate. The kitchen had lots of useful items but was lacking a good, big saucepan which would have been handy for us as a family of 4. We really liked this apartment. Everything was comfy and useable and it suited our needs but the look and facilities were possibly a bit old fashioned. If you like ultra-modern this may not be the place for you.

We loved this home away from home in the heart of Stirling!

We had an excellent stay in Stirling! The flat was spotless, very well equipped and the location was ideal. We parked our car and walked everywhere. The clear communication was detailed and self check-in was very easy. Our only regret was that we only stayed one night.

Excellent location, but some problems with heating

Stirling is a lovely city, and the location just in the middle of the old town was super. It was interesting to stay in that old residential building, and the apartment was lovely decorated for Christmas. We were able to leave our luggage in the apartment earlier and even after the check-out time.

There were signs of heavy usage in the apartment; some small things seemed to have gone apart a long time ago and have not been fixed. The heatingsystem was not on during the night, and we were shivering in our bedrooms. In the morning, there was no hot water and so no shower....

Save your money and stay somewhere else

Unfortunately not a lot

There was water coming out of the lights in the bathroom for 12 hours, that was bad. No extractor fan in the kitchen so every time you cooked the smoke alarm went off. The couches were old and not anything like the photos. The electric shower didn’t work. Obviously water damage in the bathroom ceiling. The tv was the size of a computer monitor and I’ve taken photos and videos of the place so there is evidence of everything I’ve listed and I could even write more if I wanted too, and it’s a shame I can’t put videos up as I have a few good ones of the water feature comic out of the ceiling in the bathroom

Parking was problematic being from a country other than the UK. Not the properties fault but Stirling council. The parking required an app or internet account which you couldn’t download or create unless you had an English phone number. Some parking machines were broken to accept coins and you had to search for one that worked.
