My friend and I had a fantastic stay at Mar Apartments while passing through on our way to Stirling for an event at the Tolbooth. The location couldn’t have been better, literally a 10-second walk to the venue, which made everything so convenient and stress-free.
From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and straightforward. The instructions for accessing the apartment were clear and easy to follow, which we really appreciated after our travel.
The apartment itself exceeded expectations.
it was spotlessly clean, spacious, and beautifully presented. It had such a warm, homely feel that we immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. The beds were especially comfortable, ensuring we had a great night’s sleep.
Another bonus was the slightly later checkout time, which gave us a bit more flexibility in the morning and made the overall experience even more enjoyable.
We would absolutely recommend Mar Apartments and would happily stay again!

Location wonderful - very near Stirling Castle, in the city centre. The heating was on, on arrival. Everything clean and well appointed, and two super comfortable double bedrooms.

The location is extremely good. Central location and great for accessing the castle and the church.
Rooms are a good size. Lounge is cosy.
The host was very helpful with getting the code to us via whatsapp before we accessed the property. (this is normally done via email, but we have had ongoing issues with our e-sims, so I appreciated how helpful she was with this; she did get out of her way to contact us.)
The parking was stressful, but fortunately we found somewhere nearby eventually. We had been told in advance that there was no parking, but it was still an issue. It was good that it was Saturday afternoon, leading into Sunday, otherwise we would have had to move the car every four hours, and there is no return to the location within the hour. (The parking inspectors are very active in the area!).
The fridge still contained someone else's leftover takeaways, and a few items of food, and it was smelly. There were lots of fruitflies in the kitchen as well.
One of the beds had hairs on the sheets, which was a little offputting. The bed covers were polyester, which was most uncomfortable on a hot night. I eventually found a cotton sheet, but they should really be the normal provision. The kitchen's pots and pans need a bit of an overhaul. They were certainly not up to cooking for 4 people. Maybe something to consider.
The beds were comfortable. The couches look a little 'tired', with blankets on them to cover the cracked leather. They were comfortable, but it is probably time to replace them.
The contents of the kitchen drawers were a bit strange. Birthday candles (!), but no tongs, and very limited range of kitchen utensils.
