We love our stay at the Castle Brae apartment. It was tastefully furnished throughout, with good wifi and the chance to spread out and relax inside its cozy walls.
The heating was very effective - at times a little too warm. Being Aussies, we weren’t familiar with this kind of heating, which was probably easily adjusted. We just didn’t like to tinker! We walked back to the railway station, as well as having walked to Stirling Castle, and our nightly restaurant - the Portcullis. (Note that the nearby Settle Inn does not serve food)

Très bon établissement. L’appartement était propre et très bien situé. Notre séjour était donc agréable. Néanmoins, plusieurs radiateurs ne fonctionnaient pas donc on a eu un peu froid la nuit. Hormis cela, l’accès à l’appartement était très facile.

The location was good. The place was very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked and we had cookies!
I had to wear extra clothing and socks, hat in the 1st bedroom because it was so cold. The heater in the room wasn’t working so I even left the bedroom door open so the heater would circulate. I don’t run cold and I’m from Alaska so trust me when I say it was cold. The shower had no soap, shampoo or conditioner like the other apartments we’ve stayed in do. The tub doesn’t drain very fast so you’re standing in water as you shower. Neighbors upstairs sounded like they were having a clogging party but I put on noise canceling headphones and that worked. Parking is on the street on a very steep hill-there was nothing around so we had to park in the village area. This is not the owners fault-just something for someone to know.
