Awful

One think that was great about the property was the location.

Did not like how noisy it was every night the windows are not double glazed so all the noise during the night every night was loud and kept us up it was like the windows were open when they were not. The ‘double beds’ were small doubles so not everyone could fit in them so one person had to sleep on the small sofa or floor which was no ideal at all.

Great apartment, wonderful location

Great apartment, very comfortable, located in a wonderful spot - close to everything, near coffee shops, restaurants, a shopping mall, easy to get from there to interesting sites and to Newcastle University. We received air fans in the rooms to our request. The collection of the keys and the check-in were easy and quick. The apartment felt like home and it was a very nice staying. Enjoyed a lot!

Decent stay in convenient/central location

Good location Kitchen fully equipped

Uncomfortable sofas and armchairs Sound insulation was not satisfactory so a bit noisy. No soap/shampoo available. Beds 140cm width so a bit small for 2 people.

Pleasant

Good location.

The place looks a bit tired - pictures taken off the wall, carpet stained in quite a number of places, duvet and pillow when we arrived had lots of grey lint on them, which felt a bit icky. The tv we could not work out at all (and we are fairly tech savvy). Asked a couple of times how to get it working and, whilst the response was prompt, always got the answer that there were buttons on the side if the tv (which we had already explored) - nothing about how the 3 different remotes worked. In the end we just made do with terrestrial tv. It would have been really helpful to have some sort of guest manual dealing with this, rubbish, exactly where to drop the keys (took half an hour to work that out!) etc. Finally, the photos of the apartment when we booked (and this questionnaire) were actually of a different flat.

Very good

Location was fantastic! Right in the city centre. Was a bit loud in the evenings because of that but nothing unbearable. Staff were really helpful and responded to any of my queries within minutes. The accommodation was secure. We were able to park our car in a private car park, which was a relief. All in all we had a great time. Would definitely book again!

There was a bit of staining on the carpet in one of the rooms. Beds were a bit small.

Exceptional

It was very comfortable and clean apartment. It had all you need + nice remains of old priory just around the corner. The position is excellent, in the center of Newcastle, yet it was quiet during the night. The hosts were flexible regarding a bit later check-in 🙂

Great stay in a very central area of Newcastle.

Comfortable large apartment, very secure and close to everything. Great view over Black Friers and the city. car parking in the building was the key benefit for us so not having to carry luggage from far away. The team at Properties Unique were so helpful when we had to have a piece of lost property mailed from previous stay plus they were very patient waiting for us to gain access to the apartment and check on.

The directions while probably very clear to UK residents left us going in circles for a while. it’s key that you use the postcode NOT the street address. Night time noise from the streets below was pretty intense until towards midnight.

Exceptional

Location is great and very accessible. For asian travellers like me, a lot of asian restaurants around if you do miss food from home. It’s a few minutes walk to the station, to the stadium. I saw from previous comments about the noice, it was quite tolerable during my stay. It was just people passing by, that’s all.

Great view, great location, friendly staff, easy access to the city

The apartment was nice and spacious, with three rooms (one bedroom, one living room/kitchen, and one bathroom) with a nice view on the balcony looking out over the city. A washer/dryer combo and a kitchen with a few necessities provided was great to have. The location of the room was great for getting straight out into the centre of Newcastle, right next to The Gate & Eldon Square, and only a 5 minute walk away from Newcastle central station to take the metro elsewhere if needed. The staff were also very accomodating, we had to switch our arrival time multiple times on short notice due to train delays and they were very understanding and met us at the property much later than our initial provided time. The woman who met us (her name escapes me as I'm terrible with names) was very friendly and helpful, and all of my phone correspondence with the property staff was great.

The only thing I wasn't super keen on was the bed which was a bit firm but that's ultimately a preference thing. The building was a little hard to find for us at first but once we found it, it was easy to get back to. Besides that, no other complaints.

Great stay

Lovely apartment in a great location- we didn’t have any issues with the noise as mentioned in previous reviews and we stayed over a bank holiday weekend! The apartment looks exactly like the photos and was super clean, quiet and comfortable. The balcony with lovely view over the city is a great addition. Great service from the staff at meet and greet check in. We would definitely stay here again.

The living room and kitchen were great. We enjoyed having a washer/dryer. The location was wonderful for walking all over and access to train and metro.

We liked having a full bed. We suggest adding a foam topper to make it a bit more comfortable. It also would have been nice to have a coffee maker.

So close to town and a really lovely flat, with all you could want. The lady that met us to hand us the keys was so kind, helped to do the payment for the tunnel that I couldn't get to work on line. Everyone so helpful. Would highly recommend it . Underground parking great, felt really safe.

Location suited us, easy to walk round and good restaurant's

More Towels, for 3 nights for two only had 1 Bath towel and hand towel each. Ashtray on balcony that was overflowing with soggy cigs. Only 2 Wine glasses that were not matching in size. Only 2 Schooner glasses.

A new home away from home.

I was amazed to discover that the photos are entirely indicative of the property. I felt like it would be a given that there was no way the place could be that lovely, so imagine my surprise when I discovered that the photos didn't do the place justice. Located in the heart of the greatest city on earth, you are within walking distance of everything you could desire. From the moment we made contact, Rachel did everything that she could to make sure my stay was as comfortable as it could possibly be. Even though I arrived later than expected, Claire went out of her way to come to the property asap so that I may finally drop my luggage off and begin exploring both the property and that incredible city.

I didn't like that I had to leave. I didn't like that I would have to wait until I could rent it again.

Location near the asian supermarkets and restaurants was good. Clean apartment.

The noise from a buildings extraction fan opposite. Beds were fairly hard. Rooms for the apartment backed onto a noisey side street, thought it was going to be the other side of the building.

overall we were very happy with our stay and for what you pay it is excellent value.

the location of this apartment is amazing everything is in walking distance, super spacious and beds were comfy. very clean also. good value for money. loads of storage space. perfect for a group of friends.

windows seem very thin as very noisy at night and our particular room had spacious blinds that didn’t really block out any light from the windows could be doing with some blackout blinds/ curtains or something to block out the noise and light but wasn’t a huge issue for us as we still had a great stay.

Ideal stay for a short break in the city centre.

Quiet, very clean and comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff. All appliances worked well. Plenty of lights, hot water and heating. Will stay again.

Location was great - close to shops, centre of town and university. Perfect.

Noisy. As it is so close to town, there is a lot of noise from the street below from late-night party-goers. This kept us awake every night. Address of the apartment should be described better. The address given is NOT the one where you need to go to park the car/collect the keys. The entrance is on the other side of the building, which is a different address (due to one-way streets).

Disappointing

Clean. Central location

False advertising of extra-large double bed - important if guests on larger size. Both beds were barely double and hard. Not enough easy chairs for number of guests meaning one person had to be on dining chair. Advised that furniture shown in picture so we would have been fully aware before booking. Tiny double sofa and one tub chair did not look like big corner unit.
