Spacious flat near lots of restaurants and quayside

The apartment was spacious, clean and in a great location. Good price for the Quayside area. We were grateful to be able to change our check in time

Not sure if the jacuzzi and TV in the bathroom worked? We didn't waste too much time trying though as we had 2 great showers to use. A couple of places where the floor boards needed some attention

Good location in an interesting listed building, lots of space, beds comfortable and clean bedding.

Owner was waiting for us on site and allowed us early access.

Huge party pad on Quayside.

The location on the Quayside is fabulous. The top floor apartment 4 was huge and an ideal party pad. Decorated in a quirky shabby chic boutique style. Its a grade 2 listed building so no replacement windows. Contained everything needed. Could use instructions for fireplace and screen in downstairs bathroom.

The entrance doorway is very shabby mainly because its used as a smoking hovel by staff from nearby restaurants & bars. Lots of debris litter the doorway.

Great, with a caveat or two--but this is a *find* and I highly recommend it.

Dave is a terrific host. He not only helped carry our baggage up the stairs, he even provided us with free ice and beers--now that's a mensch. The flat is really lovely, with huge windows with a superb bridge and street view from the living/dining area. It is extremely gracious for sitting, eating, etc. The location is stellar--close enough to centre to be comfortable (or an easy bus ride up the hill if one feels disinclined towards the arduous climb...) and also basically on the quayside. Not too far even from Baltic, one of my favourite places. Near MANY excellent restaurants...with a convenience store just downstairs.

I was slightly jarred by the several windows which were painted/glued shut, including the only window in one of the bedrooms. Now there are some windows which may be opened, but the bedrooms were almost hot during a stay where the high was 22.5--I think they would be very hot at temps which were even a few degrees higher. Also, because of the fire door arrangement, no real through ventilation is possible in the bedrooms. Comfort of the beds was also less than ideal. However, Dave's goodwill and generosity, as well as the wonderful views, are most important.

Last minute booking made and host got in touch within 10 minutes, checked in within an hour or so! A great person who met us at the flat where we fully enjoyed our stay! Our trip was more work orientated, but the flat is ideal for bigger groups and is perfectly located.

Loved the location right in the centre of the city, the layout of the apartment (large living room looking out over Newcastle city centre and Tyne Bridge with bedrooms to the back so nice and quiet) and the host, Dave, was an absolute star.

The property is very spacious and the location is perfect for a weekend in the city. Dave was brilliant with us, directions, recommendations and easy to contact. one of our group left his car keys behind and Dave had them couriered over, really went above and beyond, top man !

Fantastic location, 10 mins walk from train station and nightlife, literally 1 min walk from the river. Dave the host was great, friendly and accommodating. All facilities as listed and in working order. Clean bedding and towels provided too.

Property is an old building and the apartment we stayed in is a little tired and could benefit from a bit of a general spruce up. The beds/mattresses weren’t the best but were good enough. However neither of these impacted on our stay overall.

Superb

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of things with a great view which was perfect for people watching! It was a perfect space for me and my 3 friends to explore thy city.

Some of the cutlery and glasses were a bit dirty in the kitchen but we just gave them a quick clean. Everything else was really great. Wifi was a little temperamental but we weren't there to sit on our phones all day

We love, love, loved this apartment! It was spacious, warm, comfortable, gorgeous and so central. The owner was in touch before we arrived and met us personally to drop off the keys. It couldn’t have been better.

Nice stay

Great location, right in the middle of the city centre with everything in walking distance! Lovely owners and great communal space in the apartment! Shower was powerful and hot. Fully kitted out kitchen! Plenty of mirrors and lighting which was a plus!

Beds were quite uncomfortable, could feel springs. Felt as though the cleanliness could be improved! Would be good if room fan was provided due to hot weather!
