Room number 1. Big bed. Jacuzzi bath plus shower big screen tv. Fantastic well cooked English breakfast. Friendly staff.

Parking facilities not the best.

Very helpful staff, went above and beyond to accommodate my motorcycle. Special thanks to Bill the night porter - what a legend! Only appearing up to Christmas as retirement phase 2 on the way - bit like a special appearance in the Bridgwater Panto!!

It was ok for me but for people with mobility needs the complex network of stairs common to an old building could be a problem/carrying cases up loads of stairs

Radiator by wardrobe control is broken so it was hot and we were sweating all night, spa bath disappointing as no where to lay back due to taps and the drain knob placed at each end. Water pressure in bath inadequate. Curtains let in street light.

Excellent hotel in the centre of Bridgwater which is a top class well maintained period property.The atmosphere is relaxing and the service in the restaurant and mouthwatering reasonably priced quality food must be experienced.Always include the breakfast as it was the best I have found in this price range.

Plastic undersheets on the beds. The room was a little cold in the evening while watching TV. The heating came on in the morning.

A very characterful place, with super friendly staff and great instructions for parking etc sent as soon as I’d booked. I was also asked if I wanted a quiet room (which was much further from reception) or happy to be above the bar (for a much shorter walk to the room). I chose the former as I wanted a good night’s sleep and I didn’t hear a thing - they’d even left earplugs for me, but I didn’t need to use them. The bathroom was very nice - looks like it had been done recently. The lovely little sign on the wall saying ‘run the shower for a few mins to get the hot water through’ - heed this sign! It literally took more than 5 mins of running the shower (and the sink tap) on hot to get the water through. It really wasn’t a problem at all - it did warn you’d need to do this - but don’t underestimate how long it takes!! I didn’t have the breakfast as I was meeting family for breakfast elsewhere, but I ate my evening meal in the pub and it was perfectly edible, with more super friendly staff.

The staff were exceptional we had our son with us who has adhd and autism and he was unsure of the hotel and the staff was AMAZING with him they were all so friendly and nothing was to much for them

The staff were very welcoming and helpful to this very quirky and interesting establishment. Up and down several sets of stairs to my room.

If you are travelling by car this is not an easy stay. 1/2 street side parking (8am - 6pm) otherwise it’s paid local facilities. The hotel know it’s an issue and have local maps preprinted!!!

Although I had been warned of possible noise from outside this was not a problem. Spacious shower with anti-slip mat. Quiet electric fan a boon in very hot conditions. Very good breakfast included fresh fruit.

Location right next door to a busy pub.Noise at night was horrendous.People out on street talking & arguing till early hours.Busy road traffic noise all night .Bridgwater has certainly declined since our first visit.
