It was a clean comfy room.very noisey outside but that isnt thier fault .it a pity the shared kitchen not available any more.a long mirror on wall would of been nice as well.the owner seemed nice when i briefly met him.easy to get in.

Despite the communication with the Guest House team being good prior to arrival, we were somewhat disappointed with the accommodation. How others can rate this as 5/5 is beyond me. Guest House advertises as having 'free parking' this is totally misleading, there is no parking at all at the premises guests have to park in nearby street parking or local car parks subject to availability. We found ourselves driving around the location for maybe 30 mins or more looking for parking space, not really what we wanted after a 4 hour drive! We booked the 'Suite, En Suite' which was meant to be x1 Single Bed & x1 Double Bed, which is advertised as having Separate Bedroom, DVD Player, Kitchen, Dishwasher, Toaster, Microwave, CookWare and utensils. What we got was one room with 3 single beds and no amenities except a kettle & cups and towel. Finally the bathroom, there was a horrible sewage smell possibly coming up from the drains in the shower or sink. Not a place we can recommend.

Absolutely appalling experience. This hotel is situated right next to a busy road, making it unbearably noisy at all hours. To make matters worse, the hotel failed to provide us with the correct room keys upon arrival, causing unnecessary inconvenience. We booked a four-night stay, but shockingly, after just one night, the housekeeping staff mistakenly assumed we had checked out and rummaged through our belongings, scattering our personal items everywhere. The situation escalated further when, without permission, hotel staff aggressively entered our room at 8 PM while we were inside, claiming they needed to inspect the smoke detector. There was no alarm sounding, no visible smoke, and absolutely no justification for their hostile intrusion. We immediately contacted the police, filed a formal complaint, and left the hotel on the spot. An utterly unacceptable breach of privacy and security. Strongly advise everyone to avoid this establishment at all costs.

I booked two rooms for the carnival night. I booked the Admiral Blake because they advertised free parking. The week before the stay my wife read some reviews that I had not. They said beware the AB has no parking. I contacted the owner who said the parking was free!! but not at the property it was street parking only in the streets around the property. He told us we should get there early in the morning as the parking would probably be full as it was carnival night. I tried to book a car park online but all were full. I was bringing my daughter and the grandchildren we had two cars. We made the decision not to travel the 320 mile round trip as it was probable we would not find parking. I would not have booked rooms at the AB if the owner and Hotels.com had stated that the AB had no parking only street parking.

I was very disappointed in the room where I found stains on the bedding. I have taken pictures of it. I have told my boss where my boss had booked me into very dissatisfactory.

Carpet had a wet spot. Room smelled musty. Shower kind of moldy tile. Bed was ok but room was hot. Wife said she thought the linen had not been changed so she slept with her clothes on. I thought it was clean but old. Parking was find your own in nearby street (which we could, but thought there was dedicated parking).

I was given Room 18; avoid this room if you can. Right next to the communal kitchen area. I was woken several times either by late-nighters heating up their take-aways or early-risers. Room was 'bijou. Pity because host David had been kind and efficient on the phone earlier.

Very bad services. You have no one to turn to when some guests misbehave almost the entire night. You don't know whether to call the police or the facility manager. Noise and uproar, no sleep. A bed with a bad mattress. if you leave the facility before time, the money is not returned.

Can't say too much as when we arrived we were locked out.we were delayed in Cheltenham and when we turned up it was to a note on the door informing us that there was no night staff. I texted a helpline who did manage to find us another hotel but as they insisted on photo id whic i dont have , we decided to drive home arriving very tired and angry. Doubtful if a refund is on the cards either so will stick to Premier Inn in future

Booked 2 on suite rooms for a work night.Found the place ok but we had to park a bit further away because we had a large box van .Text information from owner was very easy to understand and we got in the rooms quickly .Rooms were quite clean if a little run down , very adequate for our needs . Shower was hot and powerfull and towels were soft .Only real downside was a couple in the enclosed patio drinking and smoking untill really late and they were very noisey .Breakfast was not included but facilities to prepare a breakfast are there and clean .We read a few reviews that said breakfast ingriedients are supplied you just need to make it , this is not the case .All in all good as a bolt hole and a great price for the area .

The building is run down and ehen i arrived i was greeted by folk who were staying there due to their own poverty issues. I do not have a problem with it persay although its not an environment i would choose to stay whilst i am on holiday. Needless to say, i didnt stay and found alternative accommodation. The staff were really good at receiving the feedback and were incredibly appologic. They are clearly working hard to make Admiral accessible to everyone although its here that lies tje problem.

Messages via text were prompt and professional. Checking in was straight forward despite being contact free. Lights in the shower room weren’t working so notified owner . He said he’d check and change the following day but tuned out they were specialist bulb so had to cope with a shaving light ! I didn’t find things particularly clean. Bits on the carpet as we walked in and the valance sheet was dirt on one bed … The whole place needs a bit more TLC but has plenty of potential… milk for tea and coffee wasn’t always replaced daily and one day I put the please clean room sign up but nothing got done. It was however very relaxed and did have a homely feel. We we’re able to cook a meal in the kitchen and only needed to buy the ingredients.

Large guest house/hotel close to the middle of Bridgewater. Good location as close to Sainsburys, Costa, McDs, etc. There is also an excellent Mediterranean restaurant, Green Olive, within a short walk. The guest house was clean and the check in was quick and efficient. Small room with ensuite shower but all perfectly adequate - at the price I was not expecting the Ritz but better than expected. Clean and comfortable. There is a shared kitchen with cereals, eggs, tea, coffee, etc., so you can make your own breakfast and was told I was welcome to cook any meals i wanted. I did n't, but if I had been staying longer it would have been a welcome option. Website says free parking available, there is but it is on road parking and the first evening it took a while to find a spot. Parked in Sainsbury's initially (only 2.5 hours allowed) but found a spot close by later in the evening. Could be an issue at busier times of the year! Free wifi but could not get internet access - logged on to the wifi easily but could not get onto the net, could have been me being thick but I do not usually have any problem, so used my phone to check e-mails. Only 2 nights I can live with that but for a longer stay it would have been an issue!
