Location was good, nice fresh cooked breakfast. Room was comfortable and shower nice and hot.
Room was at the front on a Saturday night so there was a bit of external noise.

Really friendly staff and nice atmosphere in the hotel. Room was big, warm (in a good way - it was winter!) and comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were nice too!

Breakfast was poor quality cheap ingredients bacon like leather , local sausage I say cheapest you could buy cheap sauce , first room we had was dirty old water in kettle sugar over side , dust all over place , bathroom shower head needs replacing , water in shower tray long time drain away mould then moved room no better ripped sheets around bed I could continue but I leave it at that .

Great little hotel, staff were friendly and really helpful. We booked two rooms, both classic doubles, cosy but had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent, we arrived too late for dinner so can't comment on other meals. There is a good selection of local beer and ales in the bar. We knew the car park had a tight entrance but didn't have any problem getting in as our car isn't big.

Hotel is in a quiet location. Very helpful staff and excellent restaurant. Very clean.
Access to car park is difficult. Our room was up two flights of steep stairs, not a problem for us but would be for some people. Need to check access if you have limited mobility.

the staff were extremely friendly and helpful ,despite the hotel being extremely old it was very comfortable and spotlessly clean.
the food in the restaurant was also of a very high standard.
On the evening i stayed the wifi on the tellley in the room was off line but on a whole is a very minor detail i could have gotten resolved quite easily but couldnt be bothered to.

The building is full of history and character.
We booked a dog friendly room, it was huge!
We had a bathroom with a bath and a shower, and I've honestly never stayed anywhere with such a clean bathroom!
The menu.in the restaurant wasn't huge but both our meals...risotto and lasagne were delicious.
Great selection at breakfast with hot food cooked to order.
Front of house were all, without exception, friendly, engaging, and attentive without being intrusive.
Onsite parking was welcome. Although it was accessed through a narrow arch, we managed to get our LWB VDub parked.
This is a very special hotel.
We were visiting friends close by, so we found ourselves in Bridgwater by default. It's not the nicest of places to visit, but the hotel more than made up for it.

Very pleasant friendly helpful staff.
Quiet retreat in the centre of Bridgwater
The bed was very uncomfortable, very soft and poor quality. We didnt sleep at all well.
Room quite old and in need of updating, it says on the website all rooms have been refurbished and are cosy but we did not experience this.

Excellent welcome from the owner and loved staying in the quaint King Suite. Very good Sunday Roast and tasty breakfast. Lovely decor & furnishings throughout. Amazing en suite!!
Just a bit of a tight squeeze to get the car through the archway & into the car park.

Quaint, quirky and cosy.
The plumbing noise was nuts when flushing loo or turning on taps. It shook the walls of the bathroom, thought it was an earthquake.! But is actually a macerator thing.

The staff were very lovely, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, as were the drinks, and the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the decor, and the extra information about the history of the hotel and our room!
The pillows were quite flat and uncomfortable, the bathroom fan didn't seem to work

A beautiful, quirky hotel with some great features. The food and staff were fantastic, would certainly stay again.
We weren't that impressed with Bridgewater itself. Alot of shops closed down.

The mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable, and I ended up with a bad backache. I also felt that one member of staff behaved in a discriminatory way. When I asked for a latte at breakfast (which was included), I was told they didn’t serve it, even though I saw the same staff member make one for another guest the previous day. This was disappointing and made my stay unpleasant.

The hotel is in a perfect location in Bridgwater with parking for our motorbikes at the back. We had rooms in a separate building at the back of the hotel. The staff were great and the Sunday roast was delicious!

Fantastic old building right in the heart of Bridgwater, some of the architectural features were amazing. Secure off road parking for our motorcycles. Breakfast was very good, we went for the full English option. Our room was very pleasant with all the usual facilities.
Nothing.

-The staff were all so super friendly and very welcoming
- The rooms were spotless (a little noise from floor boards upstairs, but it is a C15 building so that is to be expected)
- we had Sunday lunch in the evening which was delicious
- The breakfast was wonderful, and so quaint with the tables laid out with vintage tea cups etc
- The bar and restaurant were so lovely and quirky, with such a cosy feel to it all
- booking in and out super speedy on line ( in person if you prefer)
- parking
- beautiful beer garden, with lovely gardens surrounding it
- If your in this area or passing through, this hotel is perfect
- the price for the night and breakfast included was superb

It felt like a home from home, very warm feeling to the place, nicely furnished, clean and tidy, with great facilities. The staff were all very upbeat and it was obvious that it was a great place to work, well run and well managed. I would definitely make a special visit to stay again.
Everything was spot on.
I am currently walking from Jon O Grotes to Lands end so this is the 38Th hotel I have stayed in over the last two months and my favourite so far.

Firstly, this is a beautiful building. Quaint, cosy, full of character, and really well run. The staff are exceptional. My room was so comfortable and spotless. I booked dinner here also and it was by far the best vegan meal I have had in a long time. I went for the cauliflower steak.
I look forward to staying here again in the future.
