Apache Loongdum Koh Samed

Peaceful, rustic and relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful and food was good. Within walking distance of the next bay, which had more choice for food and was more lively. Best of both worlds.

Our room was basic and clean, but looked out on to the back of another room, which was quite unattractive.

Loved the location right on the beach. Far away from the crowd. Even during hihi season it didn’t feel overcrowded. The bungalow was exactly matching the picture , it’s a good size with good AC, fan and hot shower. King size bed of decent comfort. Staff was generally nice , not all of them have good command of English but that’s ok.

Nothing not too like as long as you know what you’re booking. As noted in some other comments there are a number of dogs within the property and on the beach. They are usually sleepy and do not care about people but if someone is afraid of dogs that might be an issue for them

Our beach front bungalow was just perfect! The beach was beautiful and calm to swim in. You can catch the sunrise in the morning and then walk 3 mins to the west side of the island for sunset.

Nothing - it was great! A bit expensive, but this was expected during the holiday season.

Seclusion, views, good food, relaxing

We stayed in the Chalet Apache 6. The water feed to the toilet was dripping continuously thus resulting in a wet floor. We brought this to the attention of the staff but no received response. We were forced to ask for more towels to create a "towel pathway" from the bathroom to the bed. They wanted to charge us 50 baht. Per towel. We refused and the next day approached another member of staff who gave us the towels.The shower drains directly into a missing corner of a floor tile. I think it's basically an open drain as the smell of urine was over powering. We had to have the bathroom light on to keep the extractor fan working. We accept it's jungle living but the place is definitely lacking some maintenance. It's such a shame because there's such a great relaxing vibe there. Please go and enjoy..!!!
