    We booked 5 nights in Tongta Phaview resort during hot season. The 2nd night, the air conditioning stopped working around 3am which provided us from sleeping for to extreme heat. We had to wait for the staff to wake up to reset it. We were promised that a technician will fix it, but the next night we had the same problem, and so on every other night. The staffs were useless, didn’t care, they were too busy watching their phone all day. Agoda’s support was as useless as the staff. Nightmare holidays, not much sleep for a fat amount of money. I don’t recommend this place or agoda

    Recommend this place if you are ok with a rustic more remote getaway. If you are happy to stay in the one area this place is for you. But if you need more action, then you will need to hire a motorbike or be prepared to walk a lot for this location. Ao Cho is a nice quiet beach. Great for swimming. Not to many people around.

    We stayed at Tongta Phaview Resort for 8 days and it was absolutely fantastic. The location right on the beach and among the rocks creates a breathtaking backdrop, and the bungalows surrounded by palm trees offer a great sense of privacy. Everything was also very clean, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the little family of cats stole my heart from the very first day. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and sitting over the water while eating is truly unforgettable. During our stay on Koh Samet, we also saw other beaches and resorts, and we have to say we would not have wanted to switch under any circumstances — we would always choose Tongta Phaview Resort again! Thank you for the perfect beach holiday, dear Tongta Phaview team.
