Location Pros: The hotel has a private beach that is quiet, peaceful, and clean. The sea is suitable for swimming and snorkeling, making it a great place for a relaxing getaway. Cons: The hotel is located quite far away, almost at the end of the island. There are no shops at the hotel or nearby. If you want to go to the local community or buy necessities, you need to rent a motorbike, as the shared pickup trucks (songthaews) on the island are very expensive, charging a flat rate of around THB 500 per trip. Considering the room rates, I think the hotel should provide a complimentary shuttle service for guests, perhaps one trip in the morning and one in the evening, to make transportation more convenient. Food The breakfast was good and offered a nice variety of choices. However, the lunch menu at the hotel was disappointing. Both the Thai and international dishes lacked flavor and were not very tasty, while the prices were quite expensive. Service On the first day, it took quite a long time to get our room, and several guests were also waiting at the Front Desk. The front desk management was not very well organized. One female staff member appeared unfriendly and seemed to pass the responsibility to a male colleague, who handled the situation instead. The male staff member was polite and helpful. The first room the staff showed us was located right next to the garbage disposal area, and there was an unpleasant smell from the trash. We therefore requested to change rooms. In the end, the room we stayed in was not actually beachfront. It was a Beach Villa, which did not have a view of the beach. I found the room categories quite confusing and potentially misleading. Before making the reservation, I remember calling the hotel to ask whether a Beach Villa had a sea view, and I was told that it did. Unfortunately, by the time we realized the situation, the hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms available, so we had no choice but to stay in that room. Room We stayed in a Beach Villa. The room was not particularly spacious, but it was comfortable enough for two people and did not feel cramped. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were soft and supportive without causing any neck pain. The Wi-Fi connection was also strong. Facilities The hotel provides yoga mats for guests to borrow, which was a nice touch. The fitness room, however, is located in a rather hidden area and has only a limited number of pieces of equipment. Overall If you are looking for a quiet and private place to relax, this hotel is a good choice. The private beach and peaceful atmosphere are definitely the highlights. However, considering the room rates, I believe the hotel should improve several areas, particularly Front Desk service and management, the quality and taste of the food, and transportation services. A complimentary shuttle service would make a big difference, especially since some guests may not know how to ride a motorbike, while taking a songthaew can be extremely expensive. Providing a shuttle once in the morning and once in the evening would make the overall guest experience much more convenient and enjoyable.
