The house was beautiful and well kept mixing traditional with the new. Sophia and her husband Thanis are doing a great job with it. Ive wanted to stay in old town since visiting Kavala as a kid, and their affordable, perfect spot made that possible for me without giving up the modern amenities that have spoiled me 🤣 Also the room with the private bathroom which we had was so cool. The other rooms had non attached bathrooms to the rooms.

The residence itself and facilities were perfect and I would change nothing. The only common theme for everyone is staying in old town itself. Be prepared to park down below and walk up the hills to your stay. You're calves will be very strong after it.

Amazing stay!!

Absolutely fantastic stay with very comfortable accommodation for two. Sofia and Thanos were such gracious and helpful hosts and made us feel at home. Highly recommend the Elizabeth Room where we stayed but everywhere is great. Also a great location in Old Town right near the ferry to Thassos, beaches, and the fortress. 10/10 handsdown.

Very cute interior, big kitchen, very polite hosts, the Communication was very quick and easy, Thanos took us from the nearest parking and brought us to the house, great location, near the main sights like the Fortress, Aquaduct and Mehmet Ali House, great view to the sea

The rooms are in a good position - very easy to walk everywhere. Shops, restaurants and ferry port are all close by. The place is very clean and well looked after. Very affable and helpful hosts.

Everything exceptional. From the wonderful most hospitable host Sofia to the amazing location in the old city. I have never seen an accomodation managed by a private host so spotless. I would come back anytime. It has everithing you need. And the host just went beyond to accomodate us.

A very nice location in the old city. 5 minutes by walk and you reach the port and the main central streets. Might be difficult to park, but there are good parking areas at the port and around the city.

Really enjoyed staying here and will do so again. its quiet restful and atmospheric in its own way.

the location was great - set in the old town with ancient cobbled streets and wonderful muted lighting - lovely to watch an old man walking his dog and his 3 legged cat late at night - felt like I was in another time and place. The bedroom was big comfortable and roomy. the facilities were good - own bathroom a few steps away, good kitchen dining lounge and small balcony with a view of the water. Walking down to the town was always interesting - good restaurants close by.

My fault - I didn't realise it was more of a large old house with many rooms than a hotel - my problem obviously.

Wonderful place in antique , nicely renovated house. Incredibily friendly host, helped us reach the place in their car , because acces in the old town is pretty difficult and parking is actually impossible. Great place to stay for a few days and visit Kavala old town and enjoy local food.

We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful and spotlessly clean renovated old house, with tastefully decorated and very comfortable beds and pillows very much. We had a room with a great view of the see and appreciated the possibility of cooking in the common kitchen, although haven't used it. The location at the top of the old town is great, castle, restaurants and shops are very close, and the lighthouse with huge rocks that enable access to the water and small beach of the old town are about 10 min walk away. The lovely owner welcomed us very warmly and helped with tips.

The private bathroom is not directly attached to the room, but that's a tiny issue which is far outweighed by all the plus points.

I liked everything, but in our case the problem was our car. How to find there and how to park it. Don’t worry, in this case we get helped by Sofia, owner of the place.

I would come here again because of the price but if I came back to kavala i would stay in the city.

Good cheap price.

1) The shower was designed poorly because water goes all over the floor and the curtain literally does nothing to stop it . 2) there was like two cats fighting in the middle of the night in the neighborhood and you could hear it or like a roster screaming and it was very annoying to hear and kept waking me up 3) the location was hard to find at first , but it was kind of far from the city, I had to walk because there would be no place to park a car since the roads are so narrow where the location was.
