We had originally booked our stay through Booking, and upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade. It was such a thoughtful and generous gesture that immediately elevated our experience. We are sincerely grateful for this kindness — it made our trip even more special. The room was stunning: beautifully designed, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail throughout the property reflects a true commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, offering the perfect balance between luxury and comfort. The location is ideal — peaceful and relaxing, yet conveniently close to the city centre. Breakfast was another highlight: fresh, delicious, and carefully prepared with excellent quality ingredients.

Great hotel in the city center

Excellent location and a very tasteful, modern interior design. Despite being in an old neoclassical building, the renovation has been done really well. The provided parking was a huge plus, especially in Kavala where finding a spot can be difficult. We left the car there for the entire stay and did not have to worry about it at all. Cleanliness was great and although the room is compact, the space is used very efficiently. The breakfast in the neighboring building was small but high quality. Quality always wins over quantity for me. The bed was pleasantly firm, just how I like it, and the pillows were supportive, not the overly soft type you often find in big hotel chains. Sometimes doing the basics properly makes all the difference. Overall, a very clean and thoughtfully designed room with nothing missing. The bathroom was also spacious considering the building’s limitations. I was genuinely impressed by how well everything was organized. The location is central, you can park your car and walk everywhere. The staff were kind and also helped me with a special request. Highly recommended.

Soundproofing. I personally am sensitive to noise during sleep and I carry specific earplugs with me, but if you have the same issue you should definitely bring some. The neoclassical building has a lot of wood and in this case it does not provide strong sound insulation.

Amazing location, beautiful hotel with great staff.

The location was amazing, walking distance from seaside and the center. There is a carpark which is very helpful in Kavala.The welcoming was just perfect, we were informed about the hotel facility plus he showed us all the attraction places of Kavala. Room is very comfortable, clean, silent. Very comfortable bed and linings.Breakfast was great, all tasty and fresh. The staff was amazing, all helpful and friendly. Loved it and will be back soon!

The hotel staff who assisted us were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel’s location was very close to the city center. Our room and the hotel’s décor were truly wonderful in terms of cleanliness and size. The breakfast was very delicious. It’s definitely a place we would recommend to everyone. If you are traveling by car, there is no parking problem either — there is a parking lot very close by.

The room reserved was very spacious, clean and well appointed. All the basics were present in the kitchenette. The under counter fridge was efficient and worked well. The linen on the bed was very good. The towels in the shower room were fluffy. The lighting in the room was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel also provides off road parking a very short distance from the building! The location was perfect for an easy walk into the old town or to the main shopping precinct (including restaurants). Well done Team!

Boutique hotel with everything you need

The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean everywhere (not just the rooms), the breakfast was very big, good coffee (decaf available), spacious room, good location. There was also a gym. The entrance has stairs only but the staff helped with the luggage as well. The biggest perk of all - private parking.

The seagulls outside were a bit loud but I like the sound of them, so not an issue for me.

The Anthemion House – Close To Perfection In Mission „Kavala“

It’s a very nice little hotel in an extremely attractive location in the beautiful city of Kavala. The hotel is located in the center of the city, very close to the sea and port, the shopping area, as well as the old town, i.e. the recognizable fortress and its viaduct. The room was a little smaller, but well organized, with all the necessary contents and functionalities for the average tourist. The cleanliness of the facility is at a more than enviable level, probably the best in that regard of all the places we have stayed so far. Bed linen and towels were changed literally every day, even beyond our needs. The price of accommodation includes breakfast, which is served to guests in wicker baskets and contains traditional Greek foods, varied enough to satisfy vast majority of tourists. The hotel has a secured parking space for the same number of vehicles as there are rooms, which is really commendable and rare considering how pronounced the problem with traffic in Kavala is. The Wi-Fi was fast enough and stable throughout our stay, so we have no complaints about that either. Finally, the highest praises go to the friendly staff who were available all the time, extremely friendly, polite, smiling and maximally engaged to make the visitors' vacation even better. Indeed, in the end, great satisfaction and a pleasant feeling remain after staying at Anthemion House, so it is quite certain that we will return to the same place as soon as possible.

There were minor impracticalities in the hotel room, but nothing that would ruin the final impression. The hotel parking is not fully secured, it is dusty and bumpy, but considering that finding free parking in Kavala is like winning the lottery, we don't take this as a big problem either. We mention these little things only for the reason that perfection does not exist and it is always possible to improve and perfect something.

Staff was very very kind and helpful, I think that is the most important part. Room was so comfortable and clean. Breakfast was perfect. Hotel has private parking area, not very easy to park if there are some cars inside but not a big problem. It is very important to have parking option in Kavala. We will definitely want to stay again on our next Kavala trip.

the staff were just the cutest, we really enjoyed everything about this hotel. Such a unique breakfast idea which is a little basket with fresh Greek bakery goods, Eggs, jams, Greek Joghurt and fruits. Location is also Perfect! The staff was very kind,even if we arrived very late for the chekin and gave us a lot information where we can serve the meal so late. And in the morning,a basket was waiting for us,with everything you want to eat for breakfast. Very practical and elegant. Best hotel and amazing experience

Everything was perfect. The room was nice, spacious, modern, clean and cosy. The view from is beautiful, we saw the Kavala fortress and aqueduct from our window. Stuff is amazing. Vicky was very friendly and polite. She gave us welcome and goodbye presents. She treated us like friends. Furthermore, she recommend us places to visit in our short trip in Kavala. The location of hotel is good, close to all interest places in Kavala so we could easily walk everywhere. No need of car. And the city is amazing, you can visit a lot of things and go to the beach. Breakfast is so good, a lot of variety of products. We received a basket with food which we can take in our room or we could eat on the balcony enjoying the view. There is a private parking which is amazing when traveling by car. Everything exceeded our expectations.

Breakfast was always well prepared with a variety of choices. The people were super friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure that everyone's needs were met. Good location, close to everything. Incredibly welcoming staff. A huge room, and in addition - a balcony in the large lobby, where you can drink coffee or have breakfast. The breakfast is interestingly presented, with local products, without wasting food, but very generous. Very clean.

One of the best small hotel experiences. Perfect location close to the aqueduct. centrally located, but in quiet area. Hotel and the room/apartment was super clean. Every corner is well designed and it's paid attention to details in all areas. Enormous excellent breakfast with local products. The staff was very pleasant. Overall, very cosy atmosphere. We stayed for 5 nights. We will definitely return sometime and stay even more :)
