Lovely, lovely place!

The house was very clean, the kitchen and cooking utensils were in order so we were able to cook whatever we wanted. A bottle of fresh milk and cookies were kept for us by Valerie and we are happy about that. Thank you very much. The heating was perfect, the house was very warm. Proximity to all the stores. I recommend.

Lovely house for a family holiday

Nice little house with comfortable living room in a fabulous location close to the town center. The house was well equipped and the beds were OK but a bit too hard.

The kitchen was not so clean, sticky worktop, cobwebs in the cupboards and dust and hair in the kitchen drawer. The dishwasher was also out of action, the owner knew about it but I am not sure was going to do anything about it until we complained. The owner was sorry that the cleanliness was not up to "our standard" insinuating our standards should have been lower I guess.

Nice cottage but a few things could have been better

House was clean and the beds were comfortable. Location was close to town center. Peaceful street. Dog friendly.

When we arrived after a very long journey the house was freezing cold and even we after we turned the heating on took well over a day to warm the house the kitchen never got warm. The electric fire did not appear to work. Parking was impossible on the street, we had to park a long way away and walk with luggage when we arrived and rare to get close. A few times no parking could be found on this street at all or next street and we had to park three streets away. The kitchen equipment was pretty basic and missing essential items, not even a cheese grater, glad we went elsewhere to cook Christmas dinner. Would have been nice to know they did not provide any toiletries except hand soap, we had to go out to buy some.

An easy stay in a lovely house.

A lovely house. Very clean, tidy and with everything you needed. Close to the town centre. All of the arrangements worked well and Val was in touch should we have needed anything. Thank you for the wine and cookies.

Great location for exploring the Peaks and Buxton, and a good price. Would stay there again

Very comfy beds, nice location in Buxton, with a good playpark up the road for the kids, and a great Japanese restaurant down the road. An easy walk into the centre of Buxton, past the Lego cafe, which was a nice surprise

Parking can be tricky, but we always found a place at the top of the road. A washing machine would be a useful addition, but i guess there's not much room for one. The laundrette close by is extortionate! The bathroom door needs fixing - my daughter got stuck in the bathroom, so we had to put a towel over the top of the door to stop the kids closing the door fully my mistake.

A comfortable well-equipped property within easy walking distance of Buxton centre

This is a comfortable and conveniently located property with about a 10 minute walk to the Market Place in Buxton and a further 10 minutes to the lower Town. The property is well-equipped and well-maintained. We would recommend it without hesitation

Everything from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Everything was excellent, more than what we expected, we didn’t need to take half the things stated on the email sent to us as there was ample of things even down to complimentary chocolates and wine 😃

Lovely little residential cottage in the heart of Buxton

Great location and an excellent price! The hosts were lovely and extremely helpful, especially when we had a blown fuse and had to locate the fuse box! They came and checked everything was ok in person and even arranged an engineer to come and double check the same day just in case.

The only grumble we had was a lack of washing machine, which when travelling with a four year old would have been very much appreciated! But it was a minor inconvenience as there is an excellent laundry/ cafe a two minute stroll away.

Extremely friendly and helpful host, welcome bottles of water, wine and milk plus a box of chocolates! Comfortable beds and sofas, well equipped kitchen, pretty back yard and great location, free on street parking

Exceptional

Really clean, the proprietor had thought of everything- plenty of cleaning items and kitchen items and toilet rolls. They had even left a bottle of wine and chocolates. Big park at the end of the road so the dog was happy. Thank you so much

A comfy, clean house in a wonderfully quiet street. Easy access to the centre of Buxton. Thoughtful touches from the hosts, such as a complimentary bottle of wine.

Cosy base for exploring

Clean and comfortable accommodation in a great location for exploring the local area. No garden but outside patio area ok for al fresco dining. Nearby park for walking the dog. Bottle of wine and box of cookies was a nice touch on arrival, thank you!
