"Sage cottage is very comfortable and very tastefully decorated. It is really well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. However this didn’t affect our stay."

Very comfortable and attractive accommodation. Perfect for the 4 of us. Lots of great space in the kitchen diner and the lounge, both for the 4 of us staying and also for the 6 of us, when we hosted some other friends for a celebration meal The house is VERY conveniently situated only a few minutes' walk from the town centre. Perhaps a silly little thing - but I love the fact that some dish washer and washing machine pods were left in the cupboard. Makes a surprising difference - little details like that
Almost nothing! previous guest has obviously broken a couple of glasses in the past - so there were loads of wine glasses but barely enough ordinary drinking glasses. Some areas of the property are feeling a little faded and old - including the steps outside the front and back door which are a little bit wobbly (not ideal for our age group!). Shower and shower screen don't work very well together in the family bathroom - a lot of water ends up on the floor unless you're very careful. But all these things were very minor. We loved out stay

Comfortable bedrooms. Lovely kitchen, well equipped, including dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid etc. Easy walk into the town. Very quiet at night.
The tiny en-suite bathroom. The lack of added extras in the bedrooms/bathrooms - shampoo, tissues etc.

High standard. Central location.

The location was good, easy to walk into Buxton town Centre. We had parking directly outside the property. The decoration and the furniture of the house was bright and airy. plenty of room in the kitchen for six people to sit and enjoy meals. Nice quiet area no noise from neighbours or nearby pubs. The bedding was clean and lovely and soft.
We booked the accommodation in Winter, when we arrived the house was freezing. So invariably we had to put the heating on full and also use the log fire, we were left two pieces of wood for the fire so we purchased some more from a local shop. We found the cleanliness to be poor. The oven is very dirty, and to use the grill pan we had to go out and buy some foil to cover the rack because we didn’t want to put our food on it. There was debris in the kitchen drawers and cupboards, some of the utensils were broken. We found litter in two of the bedrooms, the toilet brushes were broken, the fridge door was broken. There was a lot of dust on top of skirtings and in particular ensuite on the upper floor. An additional small tub chair would’ve been welcomed in the lounge to make seating for six people more comfortable. No kitchen towel cling film or foil is at the property so you need to take your own. A few regular kitchen items are missing example measuring jug
