Served the purpose for proximity but would not stay again, spent a very uncomfortable night

proximity to city centre

no buzzer at the door to alert reception of arrival. Need to call to alert them - this should be mentioned at booking. A/c kept switching off despite trying to set timer to off. No proper fitted sheet that covers the mattress, seemed undersized and moved. No shower gel sachet though 2 shampoo sachets.

Overall possible to stay, but not recommend

It was cold , but AC was really noisy. The worst thing is that we bought out breakfast and left it in the fridge, all food was frosen and impossible to eat. The staff had to let us know about those issues.

Stay away from this bnm all the building was cold and the room heater did not work stick with ibis

The heater did not work called the reception multiple times could not fix it moved me in to a much smaller room and put the heater on for me after he went one minute later it switched off it self that was the last straw checked out at 20.00 and is still refusing to refund me

It was clean enough, room was cold unless you kept the A/C on.

Didn't like the area much and the fact the room was freezing, had to keep the A/C heating on. Was also noisey from other guests when they came back from there night out.

I asked 10 times (sms + calls) to obtain a bill because I was on a business trip. The owner lied each time saying that he would have it by the following evening. In the end, no more answer... You can feel each piece of wood under the mattress. Best sleeping ever...

It stunk of heavy damp throughout the entire place, the staff was rude and the entrance is closed so you have to wait till someone sees you on the camera or call (which they don’t answer). This place looks nothing like the pictures would 100% not recommend.

It was a good place to stay although I had trouble sleeping.

The location was really close to the International Music Venue, where I and my band were gigging. The room was clean and had everything I needed.

It was difficult for me to get comfortable because I have back / neck issues and I need a softer bed to be comfortable (that's my problem though. I understand why you would choose a firm mattress and everyone is different). The noise from the street was disruptive (but then it is Leicester city centre - so I expected it would be noisy - so I can't fault the hotel). Breakfast was not available at the hotel but it would have been very helpful if the hotel had a handy list of cafes which could offer breakfast on a Sunday before 10am (as we had to start work at 10am on the Sunday)

Hidden gem

Perfect location and facilities in the property. In the city centre but far enough for it to be quiet. Stopped doing breakfast since COVID but there’s plenty of choices nearby being in city centre so didn’t bother us.

Not much to dislike. Frontage is deceiving but never judge a book by its cover. It’s clean and modern.

Great value for money if you’re not looking to spend a fortune

Rooms were clean and tidy with tv and free WiFi.

I stayed in a room on the top floor and my bathroom smelled like sewer from the toilet pipe however with the bathroom door shut you couldn’t smell it, worth noting it was only my room as my friends room didn’t have this problem.

Nothing like the description or pictures . Black mold in bathroom and light hanging off ceiling. No iron hairdryer breakfast fruit. Beds were very uncomfortable could feel the springs . Tv stopped working. Sink in bathroom cracked and hanging off wall

I felt uncomfortable

It was close to where I wanted to be.

Felt in a slightly seedy part of Leicester, near a Gentleman’s Club, not ideal as a single female. The first time I’ve been asked to show photo ID at a hotel in the UK for a long time, I didn’t have any with me. Kerb appeal not great. Mattress on bed felt old as it had dips in it. Broken handle in wardrobe door, extractor fan in bathroom not working, no guard on the shower outlet.

Great for a short stay

We booked with very very short notice and still had a very comfortable room, nice big bed and very clean. Felt very safe while we were there.

Tiniest shower I've ever squeezed into and the hot water did take quite a while to come through but did the job for our short stay. TV wasn't great but we were mostly out exploring so not really a big issue

Very clean, bright and freshly decorated room, with individually controlled A/C for heating or cooling , which is very good. Location Is central, but can be a noisy area at night - if you have a front facing room.

The front entrance does not give a good impression. Very scruffy bright yellow papered over door, lost in a row of shops. It does rather do the hotel a disservice. The door is also locked, and you have to call a mobile number from the pavement just to be let in. Once inside it’s all good. But first impressions matter.

When I called up the property and spoke to reception (before booking) I asked about parking situation and was told to use NCP car park nearby, I also asked how easily my elderly parents could make their way to the hotel from car park and was told it was easy. The problem here is that there was no mention of hooligans/thugs roaming around the empty car park, my dad approached twice and felt intimidated. He had to take the car and park elsewhere. Also there are no lifts in the property so it’s much harder for elderly folks to go up and down which wasn’t mentioned either.

It was another experience...

It was clean and close to the town center. The staff was friendly too.

The water was too hot that we could not shower properly. It did not get warmer. The shower area had no stand for the soap. We had to shower with the soap in our hands. So we did not have a proper shower, the window curtain did not close the window appropriately. Letting the light to splash in the room. And we do not sleep with the light. It was very hard to sleep. It was noisy too.

The place seemed very cheaply done up and we had a slight smell in the bathroom. The room was really tiny but was fine to just spend one night in. Wasn't made super clear that you had to pay for parking in a nearby car park

Decent stay

For the price you paid, you get a decent room if you're only reason for it is to bath and sleep!

The size was a bit too small, there was only enough place to go from the bed to the washroom to the hallway! No place to do anything else.
