The dozens of spam emails, texts and WhatsApp messages from the hotel. Totally unnecessary and spoilt my stay

Good but pricey
They tried to give me a free upgrade to a room with a smaller bed than I booked. After I complained they let me have the room I actually booked with was a much better room. The bed was comfy and king size.
Easy to find the hotel but tricky to find their own car park. The NCP was good, however there were 2 passed out drug addicts with all their paraphernalia in the car park lift. Breakfast was good but slow to be refilled. We were on the top floor and the main road was busy and noisy

Probably prefer carpets on the floor but I'm not moaning. It was just funny walking on the wet floor around the room. There was massive rain outside so when we come back to the hotel floor was dirty and wet

Location
I want to formally raise my dissatisfaction with the room conditions during my stay. On the first day, the heating system in my room was not working. I reported this issue approximately four times. Although I was moved to a different room, the heating there was also not functioning. As a result, I was forced to sleep in a very cold room throughout the night, which caused me to develop a severe flu. The heating problem was only fixed on the second day, after I had already spent an uncomfortable and unhealthy night in the cold. This situation was unacceptable, especially after multiple complaints were made and no effective solution was provided on the first day.

Enjoyable
Comfortable room, decent breakfast.
Doors from lift area to reception etc were not always easy to open with the push button. The toaster either left the bread hardly toasted or burnt.
