SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Auburn

This location was beyond our expectations, very quaint, more like a lodge then a motel.

rooms were nice, species and well equipped. Atmosphere in hotel was great and equipped with very use full and classy smoking porch with rockerchairs. How USA do you want it

Breakfast was of good qaulity, but simple and not a lot of choice, no bacon with scrambled eggs, Building needs some repair outside, like woodwork. Hotel photo in advertisements create expectancies but it is just located on parking lot with sometimes during night cooling truck outside with running cooling generators.

The property was clean, but very old. Lots of smells of food and smoke that comes through the air conditioning system. It was ok, but would not stay here again.

The room was clean, every item was in good working order. The bathroom was stocked with soap and towels. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always ready. Great location.

Location close to interstate 69; but highway noise was no problem. Variety of restaurants in walking distance. Gas stations and shopping nearby. Walmart is a short walk across a couple of parking lots; but again, no traffic noise. You get the feel of a quaint hotel seen in the movies when you walk in. A table with oversize checkerboard invites guests to sit and soak up the atmosphere. A bookcase (with books) is available if you’d like to sit on one of the screened porches or patio seating and read. There is a good sized outdoor pool. Breakfast had standard hot and cold choices. The staff we met was outstanding! This is where we’ll stay when we’re in the area. What you see on their website is what you see when you get there.

The breakfast included cereals , breads , bagels, sausage and gravy , biscuits, waffles and juices , coffee, tea . Very clean area , tables are clean , No butter though , there is a spread that is butter like . Also peanut butter and honey is available .

The lobby has an old world charm with a beautiful wooden staircase and a fireplace. It’s right next to Walmart and quite a few restaurant choices, which is handy. Somebody had a birdfeeder in the courtyard tree, and it was a delight to listen to the birds feasting every morning, and I love that I could open the window for some fresh air. Lots of parking available so that was an easy walk to the door. Easy access to the freeway. Hot breakfast with sausage and eggs and the fun waffle maker that you rotate. I love the old-school radiator type heating and air conditioning units that are on the wall where you can crank up the heat when you’re cold. It’s fun to see barbecues out of the courtyard for summer days. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated having a mini fridge and a microwave too.

It looks like they have been doing some renovations and are working to improve things aesthetically. Some of the finish work is a little rough and it looks like the ceilings and walls have been repaired in many places, but at a glance, it is suitable, and very budgetary. There were three opening windows, but one of them wouldn’t lock and having an unsecured window on the ground level was less than ideal. Little things like loose towel rack, and loose toilet paper dispenser needed attention. The freeway and train noise might be hard for some people too sleep with, but the sound of the rattling heater kind of drowned that out, so it was fine for me.
