My son and I recently traveled to Italy and had a 3 day stay in Riomaggiore. Pam’s place was an oasis and by far our favorite part of the trip! She was very helpful with tips and tricks. I hope to be back some day!

Pamela met us at the train station and accompanied us to her house which was so great because we took two elevators plus some steps to reach her place. She showed us everything we needed to know, recommended some great restaurants and hikes. The house was very clean and we enjoyed a welcome bottle of white wine. It’s close to restaurants and shops. Beautiful views could be enjoyed by the outdoor seating. Quiet and away from crowds. We had a great time there!

The location is great - surprising how quickly we could get from the home’s high perch down to the waterfront or the train station. Fabulous property with breathtaking views. Very clean and well stocked to cook on site or a short walk to a lot of food options with local flavor! My wife and I were traveling with our three adult children, and the space worked perfectly for us. Host Pam was awesome! Welcoming, kind, and willing to help with providing information and history about the area of Cinque Terre. If you are looking for a place to stay in Cinque Terra, I highly recommend this home and the town of Riomaggiore and I would love to return when I next visit Italy. Note: Riomaggiore is built into the hills and this home is on the side of a hill so there are a lot of stairs. Someone with mobility issues may find this challenging.

The stay we had at the house was wonderful. The views of the house from the living room, main bedroom and front yard were exactly as shown in the picture; nearly a 180 degree unobstructed view of the Mediterranean. The house is high up the side of the hill as compared to many other properties in Cinque Terre. The house was also exceptionally clean and well appointed. Pamela did a great job and was an excellent host.

After choosing Riomaggiore as our homebase in Cinque Terre, Pamela’s home was the perfect place for our group of four to stay. The home is large and roomy; Pamela provides all the essentials for the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms; and the view is the cherry on top. Easy access to the village itself and though the home is perched high a top the village, there are 2 municipal elevators to which Pamela will provide access to, if you don’t feel like climbing back up to the house from the village or train station. Pamela is so helpful and easy to communicate with. Staying at Pamela’s home was the perfect, relaxing way to kick off our 2 weeks of travelling through Northern Italy.

Whilst the decor and furnishings are a little dated- the location/view , spacious property , cleanliness and friendly help and suggestions of what to do / where to eat etc from Pamela the owner ,make this an excellent place to stay in Rio. We had a perfect 4 night stay as two mature couples . other reviews had mentioned the steps, but they were really not an issue & ensured a quite location away from the day tripping hordes - with marvellous views and sunsets. However due to the steps and cobbled stones we did get a taxi from Le Spezia station to outside Pamela’s front door - which was 45E and well with it if you’re travelling with heavy cases .

The location of the home was perfect for us. It is up on a cliff just a short walk from the main street of Riomaggiore. The view from the main family room and the garden sitting area are breathtaking! We loved the location because it felt removed from busy street with the tourists, but it only took a few minutes to walk to restaurants and the main walking street. The views alone make this place worth it! There are two bedrooms (one with a king and one with three twins) so while my family of five was cozy (lots of sibling togetherness!), it worked out perfectly. The kitchen is really nice and fully equipped with everything you need to cook in style! The host was super helpful, easy to communicate with and offered lots of suggestions which were great. I will note that she lives in an adjoining but very separate area. It was not an issue at all, but it was helpful to have her close by because she was so helpful with her suggestions. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - great value for the cost definitely!

Perfect for a private and relaxed stay in the Cinque Terre. It’s steep getting to and from the property, but that’s to be expected in Riomaggiore, and clearly indicated in the information. Property is in a great location to experience the views of the town and sea. Getting to downtown or the train is easy, if not don’t mind the uphill climb when returning home. Pamala does a great job making sure the property is in great shape and she welcomed us with a couple of nice surprises in the frig. The only downside of our visit was we had to leave. I highly recommend this property for its location, amenities and service. We hope to visit again soon.

We loved our stay here. The views are fantastic and unlike most of the places to stay in Riomaggiore, this place is it's own house with a yard and fantastic views. Pretty much everything else we saw was an apartment and not as likely to have the views that you have here. Pamela the owner was great! She was very responsive and met us at the train station on check in day. The house was very comfortable and well appointed which came in handy on a rainy day when most of the businesses were closed. We were able to cook for ourselves in the kitchen with stuff we purchased the day before thanks to Pamela's heads up about the incoming weather and it shutting down most of the stores that next day.

Pam's home in Riomaggiore couldn't have been better, would highly recommend. Pam was a wonderful host, a great communicator, and when she couldn't meet us, she made us feel right at home with her local assistant Simone. She even left us a bottle of wine and sparkling water in the refrigerator. The home was spotless. The views were amazing. She left out chairs in the outdoor areas for us. Beach towels. She thought of everything. The house is high up a steep incline, but for the views, totally worth the climb. If climbing is not easy, you might want to take advantage of the luggage service which Pam will give you the information within her very handy package after booking. This is a wonderful family home to enjoy paradise.

There is no doubt I would recommend this home to others for a perfect base to enjoy and explore Cinque Terre. If you’re into fantastic views, an incredibly well laid-out and appointed home, fantastic location above the Summer crowds and noise, then Pamela’s breathtaking Riomaggiore home and gardens are absolutely for you. Her personal care and attention to our booking, meeting us upon our arrival and offering her helpful tips on how to best access Cinque Terre and each of the five beautiful towns were so welcomed and so informative. Her home is bright, spacious and oh so comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked and really well laid out. It’s a bit of a trek up from the train station, but so worth it. You will rise above the Summer tourist crowds and their noise, to relax on outdoor lounge chairs or sleep in comfy beds. We fully enjoyed the beautiful and expansive views of the Ligurian Sea from the great grass patio. I wished we could have stayed longer to further enjoy Pamela’s beautiful home and hospitality. We will be back soon!!!

This was one of the best places we stayed during our two weeks and 5 cities in Italy. It was exactly as advertised, with a fabulous view and inside the town of Riomaggiore, which is hard to find during June when we stayed. Our host Pamela was prompt to reply to all of our correspondences, met us at the train station as planned and guided us up to her beautiful house. She had left wine, water, coffee, tea, snacks, pasta, and many more essentials for us in the house so we didn’t have to rush out right away. And she brought us fresh apricots from one of her trees on our first night for us to enjoy - they were delicious and she was delightful. Truly a magical place. I would return in a heartbeat.

Pam’s home in Riomaggiore is the perfect place for enjoying Cinque Terre. The home is situated near the top of the town, which provides a calm escape from the crowds down below. Plus the view is simply spectacular. The home itself is wonderful, with an open floor plan that allows the house to be filled with light and views of the sea. The kitchen is functional and well-stocked, with a large refrigerator, gas stove, oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, and in-sink water filter, plus all the cooking and dining gear you could ever hope for. The bathroom is large and bright, with a good washer and dryer, a large bath/shower, and endless hot water. With five of us, we never ran out of hot water. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. And the outdoor space is beyond description, with a great outdoor dining patio off the kitchen and a large level lawn with reclining chairs where we would drink wine and soak in the views of the Ligurian Sea and the town below you. Without question this was the most relaxing and enjoyable place we stayed during our two week Italian vacation. And Pam was a wonderful host, providing useful local knowledge, attention to detail in her communication, and gracious extras like guiding us to the house and welcoming us with a bottle of local wine. This was a 5 star vacation rental experience.

Pamela's home in Cinque Terre was one of the best parts of our trip. It is a climb to get to, but so is everything in Riomaggiore! To have your own little yard, and also a courtyard in the back - shaded, with a little table, just off the kitchen to have meals or peace and quiet was really amazing. The whole place was very well appointed, we had everything we needed. Great bedrooms and baths, very comfortable. Pamela was so nice and very helpful if we had any questions. We had an amazing time.

I don't know where to begin... the view is truly amazing! The house is perfect, quite large, fully stocked kitchen (with Champagne too! thank you Pam!!), dining room table, washer dryer, beds were quite comfy, even a blow dryer and iron! and the outside spaces - table and lawn chairs - were perfect! Pam was wonderful! Quite helpful, so sweet and has all the local info you could need. We enjoyed our chats with her very much. We highly recommend!! (p.s. if you have a lot of luggage take a cab from La Spezia, they can bring you right in and miss 90% of the stairs in the town - only $35 US.
