Apartment was good but the host wasn’t very accommodating.

I’ve traveled extensively, and my son has stayed in Airbnbs all over the world, but this was by far the worst experience we’ve encountered. I want to warn others before they make the same mistake. Arrival & Directions The instructions to the apartment were vague, confusing, and unhelpful for anyone unfamiliar with the area. WeThe elevator was broken with no alternatives guidance provided. My 78-year-old mother, who has mobility challenges, was forced to walk miles up very steep hills. When we contacted the host for help, he was combative and simply told us to “find a cab.” Taxis were not available, so we were left to walk. Accessing the Apartment The apartment was listed as being on the second floor but in reality was in unit C, which is located two full levels higher. We had to figure this out ourselves in the dark after more than an hour of exhausting uphill walking. Host Attitude & Hospitality Upon arrival, the apartment was unbearably hot. The host told us it was “a waste of energy” to cool it before we arrived. We had been promised a bottle and fresh cookies but instead found a single bottle of water and a few airplane crackers. When we politely mentioned our disappointment, the host’s response was, “Never look a gift horse in the mouth.” His arrogance and disrespect were a constant theme during our stay. We arrived very late and it was very dark so the minimal directions made it extremely hard. He were able to find it with help from a local. Apartment Quality • My sons Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. • The coffee maker did not work at all. • The shower provided 3–5 minutes of hot water before turning ice cold. • The much-touted “welcome gift” was laughable. Checkout Issues The host promised late checkout would be “no problem,” but when we requested an extra hour, we were allowed only 15 minutes. To make matters worse, the cleaning crew showed up early and the host pressured us to leave.

Perfect place in Riomaggiore

Amazing to stay in one of the little houses up in the hill in Riomaggiore, there's no better way to feel the city's atmosphere! Spacious apartment, bright, well-equipped, with a huge balcony and a beautiful garden. And the main thing: a spectacular view!

Not recommended for those with reduced mobility.

The patio facing the ocean is fantastic and really makes the place. Inside is comfortable and well-equipped.

A bit far from the water and the train station. The walk is scenic but you should be prepared for climbing (yet, this is what Cinque Terre is all about). Hallway leading up to the apartment should be better lit at night.

The beds were very comfortable, we loved having a washer and dryer, and the view was beautiful.

A perfect and very beautiful place to experience and explore/enjoy the Cinque Terre.

Perfect location with a wonderful view of the sea, the terrace was impressive. Everything was within walking distance from the apartment - city center/restaurants/shops/train station to travel around the Cinqua Terre villages.

Beautiful comfortable apartment with a garden and sea views

Fantastic apartment, really well thought out and fully equipped, beautiful garden that’s really well cared for, as well as a large balcony with sea views. 1 minute walk to the start of a beautiful uphill hike, or a few minutes to the Via dell’Amore. Very comfortable apartment, fast WiFi, and the host was really fast to reply and gave super clear instructions for self check in. Also, the garage is very convenient, you get access to the town with your car which would otherwise be impossible.
