Bach was exactly what we were looking for, for our short getaway. The kids enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the beach and also having their own separate space at the sleep out. And even though it rained on the second day of our stay, there were still plenty of room for us to enjoy our indoor games. Would definitely recommend this bach house.

Lovely place with all the necessary facilities. Right on the beach (would love to come back in summer). Only imperfection was a strong musty smell in the sleep out room, which couldn’t be disguised by the diffuser present. But that was a minor imperfection in the grand scheme of an otherwise fabulous place.

Loved staying here, we used the dingy daily and woke up to the most stunning sunrises every morning. Caught a trevally off the beach and snaps for dinner in the bay. Reception is limited but forces you to unplug which is also refreshing. Can't wait to come back.

Amazing location, our kids loved playing on the beach and we could watch them while eating dinner on the porch. The bach is at the start of a beautiful 1.5hr walk around the peninsula. Basic but comfortable accommodation. We’d definitely recommend staying here and will probably be back!

Perfect, small lockwood home, recently renovated. Loved the sleep-out at the back for the kids (or you could use for second family) with its own toilet and sink. Beach was ideal...safe for the kids. We took our kayaks and spent many hours out in them. The estuary also had a rope swing. Oh, also, great 2 hour DOC walk from out the back of the bach to the end of the peninsula - stunning and good exercise! Triip to Manganui Fish Shop for dinner was cool.

The house was clean and comfortable for 8 adults, there are two toilets (one in the sleep out) and even though there is one shower, it's on continuous gas powered hot water so no issues here for us. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the BBQ was great. It's right on the beach which is amazing and the master bedroom has a great view out to the ocean. Loved our stay and am already looking at booking it again soon!
