Perfect!

Serene and beautiful location right on the river. Less than a 10 minute drive to the centre of Paihia. Martin and Adi made us feel right at home, they are so kind, generous and accommodating. We swam in the river, dipped in the pool — the most relaxing time! We loved our stay at Te Awa Lodge and would happily visit again.

Beautiful stay in a great lodge with astonishing view

The place was really great what a view, Asthonishing. Martin was a great host. He was very kind and helpful. It was small and intimate, only a few guests can stay here. A very extensive breakfast and everything was very clean and nice. I would surely reccommend this accomodation !

Fabulous

Martin, our host was friendly, nothing too much trouble. The setting was spectacular, right by the river and so peaceful. Great poached eggs at breakfast. Would definitely recommend here to stay

Peaceful stay in the Bay of Islands

Our stay at Te Awa was the perfect welcome to New Zealand. Our hosts provided a personal experience for us in the Bay of Islands. The setting couldn’t have been more spectacular on the banks of the river, and our room was very comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed the pool each afternoon, following a day of exploring, and watched the moon rise each evening from the expansive deck. Breakfasts were delicious and prepared us for a day of activity. We appreciated every recommendation provided by Martin and Joelson. They definitely set the bar for the rest of our time in New Zealand. If you have the chance to stay here, we couldn’t recommend it more highly!

A fantastic stay at Te Awa lodge along the river

We loved our stay at Te Awa lodge. The hosts were super friendly, helpful and flexible to accomodate our needs. The property´s location is stunning along the riverside. Breakfast was wonderful and flexible time wise. Marthin and Addy are superb hosts, and made us feel extremely welcome. They were also a wonderful source of information going around the area.

Superb hotel

The hosts and poodles were very friendly and gave lots of advice. There were lots of pleasant suprises which made up for the money. The small suites which were right next to the river were very comfortable and looked spotless with excellent decor.😀

We didn't mind that much but some people would think the river is very noisy sometimes.

A luxurious stay in a beautiful setting

Wonderfully welcoming hosts, a delicious social breakfast allowing time to be able to connect with other guests and share ideas and tips on each others Bay of Islands adventures, great facilities within our room, and the lodge surroundings are just stunning - perfectly planted gardens and a crystal clear swimming pool to enjoy. Idyllic!

We shocked for views of this place. It's absolutely better than pictures. Pretty much everything was perfect. Breakfast was amazing with the incredible views. The house owner was very nice too.

The service was exceptional. The staff were extremely accommodating, warm, made to feel at home. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The view outside my window was breathtaking. Excellent property with stunningly attractive scenery. Would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I didn't like that my stay was short. I wish I could have stayed longer. But I will definitely return again in the near future.

What an incredible place to stay! We loved Te Awa and can’t wait to come back. The hosts were so accommodating and the daily breakfasts were hearty and delicious. The pool was amazing and the location on the river was so good. Beds were comfy, kitchen well stocked, Netflix on the telly and comfy couches. 10/10!

The location was exceptional - the staff extremely accommodating and friendly. We loved every minute of the stay at the lodge. My partner fell in love with Coco the dog and wanted to take her with us lol. The facilities out of this world and comfortable for the price. Awesome pool and awesome continental breakfast. The hosts even allowed us for a really late checkout and a swim on the day we left which I find going above and beyond for customer service but what can you expect from ex Air NZ staff members - only the best.

There is nothing I can say that I disliked about the stay - maybe the only thing I can mention about what we disliked, the fact that we didnt book for longer and stayed longer.

The property exceeded expectations compared to the photos where it was advertised. We loved the pool and the view! We enjoyed the breakfast which was cooked personally for us, and at a time that was suited for us. The breakfast choices were great too. The hospitality was amazing and we enjoyed our interactions thoroughly :)

A relaxing stay in a little piece of riverside paradise

The location was peaceful and beautiful within a short drive to Paihia. The hosts were wonderful people, we so enjoyed being there. The room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful river outlook. The pool had all day sun. There were fantastic areas to eat and relax around the property. We loved it.

Wow!

Everything!! the hospitality from the hosts was second to none. The grounds are so beautiful and well kept, the pool is lovely, the breakfast is great, the beds are comfy and everything is so clean. A very short drive from the hustle & bustle of Paihia so it feels very quiet and peaceful, however close enough for easy access. We really enjoyed using the bbq and having a meal overlooking the river. You will not regret staying here!!
