No plug in the sink, more water poured down the wall in the shower rather than out of the shower onto me, the carpet definitely had not been hoovered it was very dirty.

A small, miserable, depressing room with no staff. We were so upset that we booked somewhere else and didn't stay. Definitely not worth the money that we were charged.

While it can look a little beat up when you first come in, it was very clean and had absolutely everything I needed. The price was good in comparison to all the other hotels around the festival. Great location! Will probably come back if I go to reading festival again!!

No human contact on arrival! The room itself, though cramped, was clean, comfy, and handy.

No breakfast. A couple of minutes’ walk from Reading Station.

No reception staff. Had to have a code to enter the property, but without wi-fi I couldn’t access e-mail to obtain the code, so I was in effect locked out. Luckily, a gentleman operating the cafe next door was kind enough to telephone the owner and get the code to let me in, otherwise I’d have been stuck.

It was not very clean, it looked like it hadn't been hoovered in a while. Shower head needs replacing. I also didn't receive my code to open the main door to check in, and so I called the staff several times before I got through and was given the code.

Didn't have breakfast was not aware it was included. After a bit of confusion when the outer door touch screen didn't illuminate at the first two attempts and it was dark, I found it quite easy to gain access. Very good idea though.

Nothing really. Maybe a light on a censor at the entrance door would benefit travellers like me arriving in the dark.

Great location, as expected from the photos, not the Ritz but still a decent stay.

The rooms were clean and as it was self check in that was all very a smooth process. The location is ideal for central reading, 2 min walk from the station, plenty of food options, coffee shop on the doorstep. Fans were provided to try and help combat the heat.

The showers were unpredictable, ran hot and cold throughout use. The checkout time is stated and this is fair but once it hits that time there's no grace period to get back in your room so do ensure you have everything before you shut the door. Wasn't a problem for us but felt it worth mentioning.

good location. very close to train station

there is no desk or anyone to greet you. i wanted to leave my suitcase at the hotel for the day after my stay - which i have always been able to do at every previous hotel i have ever stayed at. but there was no desk or receptionist or staff anywhere for me to ask if this was possible. i was provided with 2 contact numbers which i rang repeatedly so that i could speak to them about leaving my suitcase somewhere but they did not pick up. it is inaccurate to say the service was poor - because the service was non existent. i had to book luggage storage on the high street which added cost + unnecessary time/hassle to my day also the shower was very run down and horribly stained there was no breakfast so i don't know why i am being asked to comment on breakfast

Good room great value.

Although the premises wasn't particularly great in comparison to other main hotels I have stayed at, it was excellent value for money and probably the comfiest bed I have slept in compared to other hotels.

I felt the place was a little run down but again reflected in the great value. Room was just what was needed, a bed, shower and complimentary coffees etc.

The location was great! We had the opportunity to store our luggage in a safe place after the check out.

The sofa bed was in a very bad condition and our son stayed in another place the second night because he couldn't sleep on that sofa... Although the bed sheets were clean, the carpet was old and dirty. The communication through booking messages was very difficult as they didn't unswer and we should call them. The plugs suddenly didn't have electricity and it was fixed only when we told them!

Excellent for a short, no-frills stay

Well, this loction no longer does breakfast but I just had a coffee and pastry at the railway station. The location was the best part, it was within sight of the railway station and that was good for someone on a tight timetable. The contact number was useful as I had to ask for directions and the person who answered was very helpful.

The fact there was no breakfast needs to be made clearer, I had to ring up to find that out.
