About this apartment rental

PU'U POA 305 is a beautiful two bedroom condo with unobstructed views of the ocean. Every morning you can drink your coffee and have breakfast watching the surfers catch the ever changing waves at the point by the St Regis Hotel. On many days in the winter and spring you can watc

h from the deck whales splashing and dolphins jumping. The sunsets are always spectacular with views of Bali Hai in the background.
The condo complex is right next to the St. Regis Hotel and is walking distance to a couple of nice relaxing restaurants. However the kitchen and dining area are very nice, and with a great market only a mile away, dining in is always a great option. A short but steep walk down to the secluded hidden beach offers one privacy and pure beauty. During the summers the water is calm and snorkeling is quite good. Hanalei and its beautiful beaches is a short 10 minute drive where shopping and eating in the perfect beach town is always fun.
The condo is minutes from the newly remodeled Makai Golf Course with is incredible views and only two miles to the Prince Course one of the top ocean view courses in the world. We hope that our condo has everything that will make for a great visit to the North End of Kauai

Beautiful place with stunning views. So close to hideaway beach and easy access to all the Princeville offerings Very large deck area where you can bbq and eat. Happy that it was December as if there may be a complaint it is lack of ac. Maybe a few more fans. Beautiful stay and will be back.

Nice place to stay with great view of ocean and surfers. Well equipped kitchen. Minor problems with plumbing encountered and of which property management is now aware. Lanai has great view but little privacy. Location is a fair distance (driving time) from the west side of Island. overall, a pleasant place to vacation.

The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The condo was very clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt safe and happy there. If you are expecting brand new furniture and carpets this is not your place. Mattresses on both beds are tired and could be replaced, as could most of the furniture upholstery and carpets. Rental price is fair for the overall condition of the condo considering the price of the other available units in the same complex that have been renovated. We would stay there again in heartbeat!

Perfect size condo for our family. All the extras for the beach were great. Easy checking in and convenient parking. Access to the trail to hideaway beach and the walkway to the hotel beach. Very close! And we walked to Queens Bath trail.

Condo was well equipped and had most things we needed for or 14 night stay. This was our 3 rd time we have stayed at Puu Poa and we were somewhat disappointed with the condition of 305.The condo is nicely decorated but in need of several repairs (light switches and receptacles, toilets etc.) as well as new pots and pans and glasses. The views from the condo are beautiful! The unit was a great place to stay. First the positive: The kitchen was fully equipped to cook meals in. The extras that were provided were greatly appreciated and used (beach towels, chairs, cooler, pickleball equipment, etc.). The location was great to be able to walk to 1 Hotel, golf course, and Hideaway Pizza. The complex looked to be well maintained with beautiful landscaping. We enjoyed the pool area which was clean and also well maintained. Now a few items that could be approved upon: The pots and pans need to be replaced as they are very scratched and we were hesitant to cook with them. The place overall was comfortable but definitely needs a facelift. Some of the sliding doors are so old and corroded that they were hard to open and close. The carpet and furniture are worn and tired and some were a little musty smelling. Lack of an air conditioner was a challenge on the few very humid days we had during our stay. Checking in and out was seamless and one minor issue we had was taken care of immediately. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would probably book this unit again.

We enjoyed our stay here! It’s so relaxing with the expansive view of the ocean. The waves provide a soundtrack too your stay. The furnishings and pans are a bit dated but we didn’t mind given the proximity to the water and the outstanding location. We plan on staying here again!

This cozy condo is located next to some of the nicest beaches in Princeville. A monk seal swam in for a nap when we were swimming at Hideaway Beach. We snorkeled at Puu Poa Beach and saw many sea turtles and a variety of fish. From the deck we watched surfers in the morning and the sun setting in the evening. We look forward to returning.

We celebrated our grandson’s first birthday and made wonderful lifelong memories in Kauai. The location of this condo is ideal and the living space is very functional for a family. The sunsets from the patio are amazing! The kitchen is well equipped. The condo has been well loved and is showing its age. Some general updates are needed as well as repairs of patio tiles. The overall cleanliness if the condo upon arrival was poor.

We had a wonderful stay in Kauai and at the Pua Poa. My wife & I stayed at the Pua Poa 12 years ago and remembered the views and spacious lanais. This unit was very nice. Furnishings could be updated, but overall the unit was clean and we had everything we needed. We're not overly critical as long as the ocean is still there. The only complaint was that the lanai was in need of repair, with a number of cracked tiles and weeds sprouting through the tiles that I believe housekeeping should have easily taken care of before our stay. Overall though, the unit was fine and we had a great stay.

This condo offered everything we needed to enjoy a beautiful family vacation. The kitchen is very well stocked to comfortably cook. The closets are full of supplies for a day at the beach, chairs, boogies boards, coolers, etc. The Pu'u Poa condos are the ideal location to stay on the North Shore. Unbelievable views, a pool, and a short climb down to Hideaways beach. We definitely hope to return.

Condo was well-equipped with everything you would need other than personal items and food! Very comfortable! Easy access to property! For those that might need an elevator, there was none. This property was beautiful. The view from the two lanais are stunning. We would drink coffee and watch whales from them. The property was stocked with everything we needed to cook and gear to take to the beach. None of us were ready to leave! Hoping to return.

The view from the lanai is what sold us on staying at this property and it did not disappoint. So relaxing, and yet exciting at the same time. There were almost always surfers, kayakers, or snorkelers to watch, as well as occasional sea turtles and whales. The pool and condo were as described, although the building is showing its age and could use some TLC. The location is good but a car is necessary for seeing all that Kauai has to offer.

We've stayed in many Princeville properties over the years. Puo Poa is in close proximity to the public steps behind the former Princeville Hotel down to a beach with incredible views of Hanalei Bay. The building itself is feeling it's age, but it sits on a bluff above the ocean so you really get upfront and close with ocean views and the sounds of the surf all day and night. Our unit was well appointed with comfortable beds, laundry, two full baths and a nice kitchen and outdoor grill. It's pretty nice to eat in when you're close up to the ocean. We appreciated the access to beach chairs and even tried our hand at pickle ball with the owners equipment and the on site court. Princeville is a nice proximity to Hanalie, Anini Beach, Foodland and the pathways that are great for walking / running in Princeville. This unit is comfortable and right above the ocean.

The is a wonderful place in a great location that is close to everything on the North shore of Kauai! The views are amazing and if you like to cook, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make a gourmet meal!! Such a treat to find a kitchen so well appointed…even had a vitamix! There is not air conditioning but is not needed and is wonderful to sleep with the siding doors open listening to the ocean waves. Would definitely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the view is amazing. It was easy to spend hours on the lanai watching the waves roll in. The front bedroom also opens to the ocean and gives a great breeze at night as well as having the sound of surf all night long. The kitchen was particularly well stocked for a short term rental.

Great location in a very unique building (in a great way). Awesome views!!!! Very close to hideaway beach, which had the best snorkeling out of all the beaches we went to. Unit was phenomenal with all the extras that came with it (beach chairs, boogie boards, tennis rackets, pickle ball, towels). Would stay again 100%.

A luxurious accommodation: spacious, clean, comfortable, well appointed and then there is the stunning view. The pool is clean and refreshing. There are miles of walking/running/biking paths right outside your door with more stunning views. If you are considering this rental, my advice is book now! We had a newly walking, curious one year old in our party and we found it to be very child-friendly as in easy to manage--not too much danger. A lovely place in every way. Mahalo!

This is the PERFECT VRBO for your North shore stay. The outdoor space is top-notch with dining and lounging available. The views of the ocean can not be beat. The neighborhood is quiet. We utilized the tennis courts 3 times because this unit has all the equipment you need. It comes with beach chairs, boogieboards, a cooler, beach towels, even spare sunblock should you need it it is fully stocked in the kitchen with every item you could possibly need. The kitchen is spacious as well as the living room. The bedrooms are sizeable, beds are comfy, and the bathrooms are HUGE! That master shower is 👍. I had concerns about no AC at first, but it is absolutely not needed. They have tons of fans/Vornado and that breeze really does cool things off (there is a slight time from like 3-5 where it can get toasty, but we were rarely at the condo during those hours). Our only disappointment was that the pool was closed for repair the entire week we were here. Not a huge deal, and there IS a beach right below the condo, but it is a decent hike down and sometimes as girl just wants to swim a few laps and sip a drink by the pool. 😏 Do not hesitate to book this condo. Washer/dryer (even tide pods), stove/oven/dishwasher.....everything you could need and more! We absolutely loved our stay!

The views were breathtaking, the gentle trades kept the temperature comfortable and the location was easy to keep clean. One challenge I encountered was we initially arrived at the location and found it hard to find a working light until we got to the kitchen. There are a number of switches that are not connected to anything near the door. But once we figured that out we made allowances for it and it was not an issue. It was an excellent location and we would look for it when we return to Kauai!

Beautiful ocean and ‘Bali Hai’ views. Wonderful, we’ll equipped kitchen. Minor glitches dealt with immediately by the rental agency. We walked 3 1/2 miles every day along lush walkways. Many beautiful sights close by ‘Queen’s Bath,’ a regenerative farm tour, Hanalei, Kilauea Lighthouse, Hanalei Bay beach, to name a few. Slightly farther away, Limahuli Garden, Poipu Beach, small towns and shopping areas, as well as wonderful restaurants. Grocery shopping and ice cream available close by.

This is a fabulous vacation spot and the apartment is perfect! It has everything you need and then some! Outstanding facilities and fantastic views make this the perfect vacation spot. The grill on the veranda allows for excellent dinners every day of the week! The Foodland grocery store in the neighborhood has great food and the best poke on the island. Will certainly be returning as soon as we get the chance!

This is the 3rd time we've stayed at PuuPoa, but the first time in almost 20 years. This condo is wonderful and has a prime location. It is very well decked out, and has everything you need. Puu Poa is the best condo to stay on Kauai on the North Shore. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay

Wonderful location and accommodations. No need to go anywhere else-owner has thought of everything you need here. Weather was beautiful-some light rains late at night. Easy travel to sightseeing and other beaches if you want but sitting on the beach below was about as good as it gets at sunset anywhere in the world. Hope to return someday. Had a teenager and college student with us-plenty of room.
