Small double self contained room central Torquay

We loved this cottage! It is incredibly charming and has everything you could wish for. The little village is beautiful and the inn a few houses down the street is excellent. The owner was very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!

Says what it does on the tin. Very good value for money. Requested parking but was able to park on the street. Will stay again if we are passing through on another holiday road trip

The ensuite needed sorting out to make it better

Arrived to a lovely welcome and had a good chat with the very friendly host. I had booked the room, not noticing it was 'pet friendly,' which would have been a disaster, but for the air purifier supplied! The room was clean & tidy and reasonably comfortable; at a bargain price!

Sadly, the wifi was terrible! The shower room is small, and as such, unfortunately, I got to know the shower curtain a little too well when showering; the shower itself was great!

Location, off-street parking and the bed.

Bathroom not finished and the shower tray didn't drain, build up of water and in the morning the bathmst sopping wet. I didn’t dare have another shower. Toilet paper available but no handsoap. Double fronted glass door, the second door, so not the door with key lock didn't lock securely enough for my liking. No kitchen light switch found. Kettle didn’t plug in where it was placed, so had to move to a precarious point, moved microwave along and balanced kettle on edge of work top to fix it into socket to boil. Piece of lettuce, in fridge, left from previous tenants. Followed instructions on entering property but no front door key found. The main was house next door, i assumed, so knocked on door and the son contacted his mother. Had to wait 20 minutes for the mother's boyfriend to bring the front door key, he didn't think I'd need it! Thank goodness for Michael, the son. I did get an apology, eventually, for the delay and confusion but the 'I wasn't there' from the owner and 'this is all on me, Paula wasnt here' attitude was strange. I think the little apartment is a gem but it's unloved, unfinished and insecure.
